Don Porogo

Just curious, but anyone else have alot of experience with this guy? We have fought him about 7 times now, and each time seems wildly different. Sometimes he has AoE charm, and spams just about every spell in the book, hits hard and fast, and has lots of hp. Sometimes he is a pussy and only does Single target charm, has lower hp, and hits like a baby.

Any tie to his strength and the number of gears you kill? I somehow remember his super killer ones happening on days we skipped most of the gears.

Not really. I fought it twice but we always clear out the entire room. The only difference between both fights is the second one he did single target charm twice and aoe once, while in the first one he did aoe charm like 3 times or so and no single target. As for spells or hp, no real difference. The second one seemed to die faster but we didnt get spam charmed so that was probably it, lol.

I just clear the room. One of our best runs was with 8 and we had enough time to clear the room and kill this guy with some time to spare so it's not too hard to do.

Ya, some runs go like a cake walk, and some are insane (like today when we didnt get magic till the last mob on the first floor..).

We usually clear the gears, but this time just killed the imp and popped Don Porrogo. We pulled him all the way back to the portal and kited him around. We had 3 mnks hundred fist each, and each time it only did maybe 5% of its hp (with str and weapons unlocked for them). After that it was mostly just kiting and nuking it down. Today though he spammed AoE Charm, breakga, sleepga, hit my pld for about 200 (and fast) a hit, and his other assortment of ga spells. Guess its all just blind luck.

It shouldn't take so long to get magic, just pull the hume mnks in that room. <.<

Do you go west path? East path in the big room has predetermined drops. The 2 hume mnk can drop weapons or magic and some other stuff.

Na, went east path, knew about the predetermined drops just didnt see that people had updated info about which jobs drop what. Will put that to good use next time.

As for Don, guess just need to be more careful next time and be prepared for him being in a bad mood.
