Yes that is what prompted me to return some of them, just because if I was in that position I'd feel horrible. But then again I've made dumbass mistakes like that before, just not on that scale...and grit my teeth. This is the 3rd JP person that has screwed up on an AH bid for me in the last year. I had a useless polearm sell for 3m instead of 300k...I gave him his money back. A pak corselet that went for 3m over the AH price...didn't refund that one. And now this. They must have some ridiculous connection speeds over there that they are missing the "Are you sure you want to purchase/sell xx for xx gil?" on each sale.

Good grief, someone gets to cash in on someone else's mistake, decides not to be an ass halfway through the whole ordeal and people think it's unfathomable? Believe it or not, not every person out there is a dirty liar that tries to manipulate you into doing what he wants, though you must be having one hell of a fun life if that's your standard-assumption.

It's situations like that where I think SE should have a safeguard in place that only lets your bid go through for either the most the item has ever sold for or the highest amount someone has it up for auction.

So you could throw a 12mil bid on the wrong thing, but the highest price listed is 89k. Well no worries, you just bought it for 89k. Seems weird to allow you to way way way overbid the asking price of ALL the listers on the item.
