LAG @ Whitegate Issue

Recently, when I log on to Whitegate, or zone into it, I get lagged out.
It's the type where NPC's dont even load on screen...
R would show 0, and connection would go from 100% > 0% gradually.
It doesn't happen in other areas. Anyone got a clue as to what's causing this?

I can play normally in other areas but the min I enter Whitegate, I DC...

Maybe don't home point @ whitegate MH with bout 500 other people?

Deadzone perhaps (although I haven't much about them, and mine don't d/c me anymore... maybe a ninja fix)?

funny thing is that it only happens at WG.
still happening, bah.

you can run around, but NPCs dont load and your connection gradually heads to 0. sucks... looks like might have to re-install

I had the same problem but in a few other zones like Eldieme, this is what everyone was complaining about last update that Square supposedly broke but blamed it on our ISP's. Although my dead zones have fixed themselves I don't think re-installing will solve your problem. You'll probably just have to wait it out, try calling Square about it.

the dead zone shit about it being the ISP was bull i have 3 comps in my house that i can play FFXI from and only 1 ever got that dead zone shit

if it was ISP it would be all not just 1 comp my xp comp had dead zone issue my vista and xp media center comps dident have any probs other then increased lag in wg on media comp and my vista i saw no diff at all
