Resist Stun

Ok so cerb pops on gilga, and said ls claims it with only a tank pt. A pld/nin and a nin/drk.
The nin does his regular routine of spells for hate, stunning at every chance. As the fight continues more stuns are added and more casted as the NIN loses shadows. Now, where im confused is why it did not resist stun once during its initial 75% and not at all in GoH mode. Now stuns are going off at every instant, at every recast a blm, rdm/drk, or the nin casts stun and not a single resist. Did they change this? Also did they change the cast time on GoH, some really late stuns are saving this group from a total wipe. 3hrs, 2 smns and bio are killing this thing...

Any Thoughts?

Cerb doesnt build stun resist, and the chance of getting resisted is pretty low. Blm and drk never get resisted. I dunno what's the resist rate on nin/drk, but it's probably not too high either.

before the era of rdm/nin, on NIN/DRK after the wall nerf I was getting resisted 3/4 of the time on stun, whether or not that was attributed to my dark magic skill being a few levels off cap or not I don't know

Cerberus resist like 50% of my stuns. (NIN/DRK) Never resist RDM/DRK and never resist BLM.

Stuns didnt "save us from total wipe" either. GoH is a joke and most good tanks can eat it and not miss a beat. 400-500 dmg only.

Surprised you guys dont know Cerb doesnt resist stun. You've killed at least 30-40 of them. Just not paying attention?

Cerb resists NIN/DRK a fair amount on stun.....and even resists RDM a good bit (5% or so)..
Never saw a DRK or BLM get resisted though..

and you all watched every minute waiting for a mistake to vulch it

Its resist rates on NIN/DRK I'd chalk it up to the gimped Dark Magic skill. Tens of Cerberuses under our name and I've never seen any of our RDM/DRK or BLMs get resisted on it.

I never got resisted on RDM/DRK seen a few gates get off due to resisted RDM/DRK stuns by other LS....

Good point though they might not be capped Dark Magic or using Jupiters Staff etc.

I don't macro Jupiter's into stun on RDM or BLM and I've never had it resisted on Cerb. It's prolly just the gimp Dark skill.

it does pay to macro in a thunder/jupiter's staff for your stuns (BLM + RDM of course)- no you really never need to worry about stuns, but I do see better stun duration with a jupiter's than I did with a thunder, and a helluva lot better duration than foolish mages who purposely cast it with a dark/pluto's because "its dark magic"..... /wrist.

If a NIN/DRK casts Stun, and gets resisted while a RDM or BLM casts stuns the instant after, the 2nd stun will not register and you can enjoy your Gates of Hades.

it does have to do with dark magic skill. even with khimaira. once, i had my stun resisted as rdm/drk when it did fulmination. but the blm/rdm who was after me was unresisted

Mm, not sure about the resisted Stun, but NIN/DRK stun has a much much shorter duration than RDM, BLM, or DRK Stun; we've had it happen that the NIN Stun landed and wore at practically the same moment, but was long enough that the BLM Stun had no effect and Gates still went off.
