Looking at the rest of the gear, it looks like they were Pld main and got the Are's and haidate and shit, and had War too, so came out on War.

Yeah, but you can see clearly from the text in the picture, that the guy is not solo using this gear, and also he's not meant to be a tank, or he'd say that it helps him to keep hate. He just wants to level his guard skill at the cost of being an MP drain >^^<

Pld is what occurred to me from the non-visible gear, as besides the haidate/are's/uni feet it was mostly "wtf" type stuff, I'll have to look for them later, but it looked like bloodtanking gear, except for those DD pieces, and the lolmartial/bloodsword combo.
