Woot, a post just for meh! My bard gear sucks...although olde-pic is olde, I'd retired my lolAF1 body a month or two before that post for Yigit Gomlek and Errant Body. Just wasn't dumping alot of gil/effort into merit-whore / tool job. Although...my thief is doing just fine:

Blau/Sirocco/Ziska's (or Bomb Core)
Turban/Lovetorque/Brutal/Suppa
DH/Dusk/Rajas/Ulthalam's
Amemet+1/Lifebelt/Rep. Subligar/Dusk

Now that the gil-buyable stuff for thief is mainly out of the way, I'm investing more in the Bard - just gotta have priorities, and Thief first is mine.

Working on winning lots on homam/swift belt runs/Skadi legs-body, but otherwise it's pretty solid. It's just not a 4+ year old character like many. Trust me when I say I don't defend gimpiness, although I sometimes practice it.

Yeah he wasn't in your PT so this could be assault. If I go RDM to assault and I have no heads up, I just go to my mog and throw on gear that makes sense and then gear that doesn't (but isn't detrimental) in the empty slots. Which looks like what this guy did.

Besides, that's a town pic. Sometimes as a taru I wear Genbu Helm in town in case something falls on me but that doesn't mean I use it in exp.

Didn't have Viruna (WHM34 has it), didn't keep up with Refresh (only me and him needed)

Both SAM/THFs used Soboro at Imps, which is a waste with Amnesia spam. DRK was rockin AF legs and Dune Sandals.

EDIT: Imp aggro on Jnun pull. We fight the Imp, RDM fails twice to sleep the Jnun. Never Gravity it but ran around instead. I tried to cure him but Imp silence me. Jnun killed the RDM, then the SAM who tried to solo it, then the DRK who stunned it. Had to trio 50% of an Imp while Amnesia'd. Other SAM killed it when I was at 30 hp and out of mp. He then died from the poison right after delivering the killing WS. Yay for a 4/6 pt wipe. Oddly enough, it didn't kill the NIN who pulled it, it just depopped.

lol no kidding. I can't join 1 pickup party that has 5 other people who know what they are doing / properly equipped. I mean, I don't expect HQs, I just expect relevant and up to date gear. Though now I just hope for relevant gear.

Well Light staff I can pass for BLMs, they don't get much out of it, but dark staff reaaaaaaaalllllly should be Pluto's, even if it's just for sleep =S. Don't see bards saying just use light staffs and earth staffs and not bother with HQ staffs <<;
