Not sure if this fits in here but this surprised me the other day.

Near as I can tell he never blinked out between WS and TP gear, if he did I never saw it, so I assumed he full-timed the setup above.
Started the party using Retributor/Woody, not sure if it was unlocked, I didn't notice many Crits. Then switched to Martial/Woody. I forget what the acc ring was. Earring is a Busho iirc and he's using Rutters Full-time.

No so much "wtf" at the gear but "wtf use some goddam macro swaps".

Neck: Spike Necklace (hmm. again why when Chiv. chains are around 200k)
Ear 1: Antivenom Earring ( orly!)

Body: Narasimha's Vest (win +6 since af body > Narasimha)
Hands: Magus Bazubands (lol)
Ring 1: Empress band (15 hours till charged ^_^. Never switched out either)
Ring 2: Sun Ring (lol Ruby is around the same price)
Back: Amemet Mantle (lol 250k gets you +1)
Waist: Warwolf belt (not too bad)
Legs: Vendor slops (hmm..)
Feet: Bounding boots (lol)

All of his spells missed except one. Didnt have head butt or not equipped which is a mandatory when fighting imps >.>

Short story: So I'm leveling my bard. I have a lv57-61 party on birds outside of town. Our setup is rather decent:
RDM
BRD(Me)
NIN
SAM
MNK
WAR

Lolz gear:
MNK was using a purple belt at lv 60, enk. hands on for TP main time, using 2x beetle earrings, and fruit punches.
Ninja was using the subligar body quest item(not so bad but at level 60...) and all around shitty gear.
The sam had great gear but thats not the point of my story:

Not so much about the gear(Even know NIN and MNK are horrid.) then what went down:

I was asked to come /nin to spam pull which I have no problems with. When I switched jobs our leader(Hagun of Fairy) asked me to bring some clubs because "everyone in the party is a melee" the way he said it I thought he was joking or making an inside joke because he had some of his friends in that party. I kinda laughed it off.

We fought over a camp for 10min (I wanted to camp at the teleport stone, he wanted to camp at that one Fowling Earring NM spawn). After fighting I got him to come to the teleport camp and I began pulling. Much to my surprise our RDM pulled out two swords (Was anon at the time.) and started to melee. My jaw hit the floor and I complained. "Hey, I can't hit you with ballad if you're going to melee, you mind not doing that?"(Me trying to be nice about this, what ever they are nubs I will be nice to you the first time.). The ninja(Hagun, also our party leader.) instantly raises up and goes "Don't worry about it she can refresh herself, just sing your songs and pull.".

Okay, at this point I was kinda pissed off, so I (Still trying to be nice) go(about 5min later) "Can you please not melee? Melee RDM makes baby jesus cry" and the NIN goes "Yea well a brd subbing nin does too, shut up.".

So, this goes on for about 10 more min and I figured id give it one last shot (I really want to finish up bard, exp is exp.) I ask the other melees in tell if they are getting haste, none of them are. I ask in party if the RDM can haste everyone and she goes "They already have songs" At this point I exploded(Sorta): "Okay, fucking seriously. If you're going to play RDM play it right. You're job is to not suck and thats what you're doing right now. Haste the god damn melees."

finally, (s)he put away her swords, equipped a club and came back and started doing their job, actually rather decently. I was rather shocked that they were an okay RDM when not fucking meleeing. Everyone was hasted and all mobs were enfeebled, so our exp picked up and I was really rather happy with the party.

About an hour goes by and I get a tell from Hagun (Our ninja/pt leader.) "Hey you know she wasnt hurting anyone by meleeing and I think she was kind of happy, why not give it a chance. You can't get any where if you dont try new things"

At this point, like I'm sure most of you would be, was kind of taken back. Then I went off in tells "I really don't care if she was having fun, and yea, she was hurting someone, me. I had to look at that redmage meleeing and my eyes started to burn. I don't give a damn if you have fun while EXPing or not, and if you want to experiment go try it some were else. I asked 4 times for them to stop meleeing. For RDM, you do your job or you don't. And frankly I want exp.

Soon as I said this he goes in party "Okay guys last pull, Senotaru you need to leave." I pulled a mob and slept it at camp and warped out before that line even hit my log.


In short: Never keep a party if your RDM melees.

I RDM/NIN in Lufiase Meadows xp party one day with a LS party for shits ... was pretty fun, wasn't too hard to keep up hastes, refreshes, and enfeebles but I didn't really got a lot of hits in after everything was casted.


Best part our WHM fell asleep and we invited Hitosi (leader of imo the best JP shell on Asura, with fully upgraded club) to come replace her, and he didn't even join me meleeing .

Idiot also wouldn't sleep, dispel, or debuff, only Cure IV'ed and Refreshed... in an equally lovely semi-roaming party in Mamook with a full blueberry pld and nin. /disband

Lucky for them, I was also smart enough to do it while they were fighting a Watch Wyvern. Apparently no one else thought the rdm needed replacing.
