I agree with his decision to leave and I think the concept behind leaving was the pt leader was a fucking retard that doesn't understand PT setups, where they should even be exping, and would probably be the retard spamming (In what order shall we perform our weapon skills?) and then comes up with something retarded like Smash Axe > Flat Blade so the 2x WHM can MB with Banish

People who wont/don't/unwilling to think outside the box usually get less xp in the long run. A working setup is made up of roles, not necessarily jobs. And refresh, is not a requirement for good xp. Good leaders get the job done regardless of a lack of a certain job.

Lack of a WHM RDM BRD or even a PLD or NIN, has yet to stop me from getting good xp (hi2u sig). If a RDM isnt seeking, 2 WHMs can certainly do quite well. One can focus on enfeebling (yea whm can enfeeble, that high MND good for more than healing) and backup healing/buffs, and another can focus on main healing. With 2 BLUs, right there you have the ability to immobilize the mob pretty well through Head Butts, and with a NIN tank, the dmg intake should be even less with the mentioned for shadow recasts.

Being unwilling to work with another whm, and break out of the standard "perfect" setup comes across a bit ignorant and inflexible. Indicating perhaps the poster's lack of understanding for a working party.

Totally Agree, If you sit around waiting for a Brd or Rdm to pop sometimes you will end up waiting all day. What would hurt the party if some idiot subed /war instead of /nin for a DD burn where AOE's are issues. You can pull 12k a hour which is nothing to frown on at all.

while a skilled player can transition between roles on a job, an unskilled player may not even be able to do what they're supposed to very well. my inclination from the attitude of the leader of the party mentioned above is that he's in the latter category.

in an emergency, there's no reason a blm can't or shouldn't help cure, there's no reason a whm shouldn't help silence or sleep. it may not be their primary role, but they can do it. on the other hand, experience shows me that most pick up people won't act beyond their normal scope. whm who won't flash a mob about to kill their puller. blm who won't stop nuking the mob in dyna to silence the scorp before it decides to breakga everyone. while there's nothing wrong with thinking outside the box, at the same time it's important to recognize how many players are stuck in it.
