No SS atm (I can post when i get home) but the BLU rep my pt got was rocking:
2xWWA
4/5 AF
Vendor's Slops
2x Sun Rings
Moldy/Insomnia
NQ Amemet
Warwolf Belt
With guys like this running around, I can see why leaders are reluctant to invite them.

the sad thing about that pt is that the drg is the best equipped, yet that isn't saying much. ._.

Carapace gear, Brass Grip, not sure about the weapon. Rest is what it looks like. I'm pretty sure he was never in yellow HP long enough to make his ring useful.
This is exactly why I don't invite fucking DRKs to meripo; that was his TP and WS gear and I can count on one hand how many WSs he did that broke 1k.http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...4-45-45-71.jpg
First:

Everything is as bad as it could possibly be. That's a shield earring and an NQ bone earring, level 36 Garnet rings.
Second:

Not as bad as the other two, but full Artifact in the 70s? Errant's hardly expensive.
Third:

Senjunrukio/Dissector. Evasion Earring. Scouter's Rope. Ruby and Emerald rings. At least they've got the Kote and Sune-ate right?Numbers two and three were in the same party at Mamool Ja Staging Point. Using your C-rated weapon in your off-hand and minimal accuracy gear is a great way to get TP on some of the most evasive merit monsters in the game!
In ALL seriousness, no sarcasm intended: What's wrong with that DRK exactly?Originally Posted by Marcicus
I'm completely unfamiliar with DRK gear. Is it that he was a rediculous MP sponge, like the highlighting of the Plastron would suggest?.... if barely any of his WS's broke 1k, he wouldn't have been tanking.
*edit* After looking at the stats on the set he's wearing, it looks like he was wearing devastatingly-little acc. Is that what you're getting at? Shouldn't he be using Spinning Slash or Ground Strike with a great sword (1-hit WS's)? Sorry, I guess I'm just confused.
Damage taken+50%. If I have to say any more, well, I hope you've never meritted on a melee job.Originally Posted by Arkanna

I'll explain this a little better since Thuilius was a little cryptic. DRK JSE for the most part is crap compared to what you can get these days. a Hauberk is much better a body piece then the plastron. The only piece you could consider worth it is the leg piece but the rest of that gear set overall isn't worth the gil being spent to make it. If you have a linkshell that kills Ouryu for sport like we do then ask them about lotting some ores for the JSE but even then it's really town gear.Originally Posted by Thulius
Aers Body, Adaman Hauberk, Haub, Hauberk are much superior to that piece and doesn't fuck you in the ass when you get hit.
It makes nice town gear imo
ps- Holy shit Diametric, your graphics. WOW. D:!
I hope this is just a JP joke like they sometimes do before they actually get to camp. I didnt want to check and piss him off so more to come after we start.

I'm not gonna pick on this guy individually since there are literally a dozen THFs in Whitegate with identical gear, but just a PSA...
This is why we don't get merit invites
No swaps of course. I really want to find the author of the FAQ or guidebook that prescribes this gear, and drown his pets. Why are Atk, Acc, and Haste such foreign concepts?![]()
D: Are they that bad? I honestly don't have much to compare them to; I'm not that tech-savvy, and the only time I've bothered messing with them was when I went from my family's old monitor (resolution was 800X600) to a new one with a 1280X1024 resolution. Anything I can do to fix them short of downloading Windower-type mods, etc?Originally Posted by Kravin

Lol, I don't know why it took a pic of the whole screen. Anyway, that was his real gear. We forced him to use axes but he melee'd in almost full af1 gear. It made me a sad panda.Originally Posted by CailIfrit

This would be another example of why thieves don't get invites. Yes, that's a Maat's cap. No, that's a bushinomimi. Full-time gear, no swaps, etc.![]()
A motherfucking LS leader...i hope its just a chat LS, and not like a solid events LSOriginally Posted by Obev

Uhh.. This is what I have everything set to. Enable mip maping, use "Uncompressed" for both tabs under textures, use smooth and enable bump maping under effects. That should make things look better.
edit: beattedand yeah, use bump maping. Also! If your pc is pretty strong/modern/made within the last 2 years, go to Run on your start menu.
Click on Hkey_Local_Machine(or something), click software, go down to Playonline US, click Square enix, then FFXI. On the right you'll see 0000, 0001, etc. You should change 0003 and 0004. This effects the resolution or something for the background for ingame stuff, or something. I seriously can't explain it very well, but it makes shit look pretty. I have mine set to 2080, which is the max. and my screenshots kinda look nice, tbh.

sorry for derailment lawl
S/he did say their computer was old, so those settings might bring it down to a halt if you need graphics like that to properly run the game.
I thought just the monitor was old, but yeah, if your pc is old, I wouldn't bother with the last few steps I gave. Just stick to the FFXI config stuff.
