D: Are they that bad? I honestly don't have much to compare them to; I'm not that tech-savvy, and the only time I've bothered messing with them was when I went from my family's old monitor (resolution was 800X600) to a new one with a 1280X1024 resolution. Anything I can do to fix them short of downloading Windower-type mods, etc?

Yea I have an Asteroids-like game called Space Fury. It's a decent game... you get powerups and stuff between levels and theres a scary alien guy that talks to you and gives you your mission.

Go to your Start menu and look up FFXI Config. Set the background resolution to a high number, set Texture compression and On Screen Maps to Uncompressed, set Environmental Mapping to Smooth, and I forget if you want to Enable bump mapping or not..D:
