Yeah, this pt was made of fail. Our BLM was in a Black Cotiharde and RSE, fucking awesome gear for a hume

RDM was wearing a Pyro Robe or Bishop's Robe or some other such crap and the MNK was the only one in nearly full AF (besides me)

Oh and if anyone was wondering I DAT-swapped my Justacourps for the white chocobo jockey body - looks nice.

Meleeing Byakko's as BRD keeps you from getting in LS's. Trust me, I know.

trust me, it is.
i partied with the guy about a month ago i think, and trust me when i say that this is an improvement from where he was then.
i forgot to take a SS, but i pretty much remember what he had. war/nin, tungi/fran, no ranged/ammo, 2 sun rings, all the rest was the same. didnt use food and was "too poor for utsusemi". if that means he didnt have the scrolls or the tools, i dont know. his brother, friend of the pt leader, was a bard or something which i think is the only reason he was in the party to begin with. i mentioned that he sould sub sam and use GA, and i was really holding back from ripping into the guy, but it seems he only took half my advice...

That doesn't make much sense to me; I don't imagine he had many enfeebles land with that gear set-up. Being a good rdm isn't just about keeping up haste and refresh

depends on what your definition of "good" is. as i see it, that means above average and if he could do that, yes, he'd be a good rdm. this has no bearing on if he falls into the "competent" category, however, for which landing enfeebles, etc. are requisite in addition to haste/refresh.

Well, he did what I asked him to do which was keep me and every other melee hasted, mages refreshed, and the mob enfeebled. All of the enfeebles that he didn't land I would follow up with my ninjutsu enfeebles to make sure they stuck. In other words, I've seen red mages that have the best gear for their level do a lot worse than this red mage.

BRD AF head and feet are pretty bad. More so if you're an elf, having access to RSE. I definitely wouldn't trade out noble ribbon for AF head also.

Good points, though I never find myself running out of MP (hence no need for RSE), nor do I have difficulty landing debuffs for the head slot. However, I do have +4 Enmity merits from PLD so the Enmity- stats are useful to me.

FYI, there is no piece of Elvaan RSE that boosts CHR, as that stat is naturally high for Elvaan to begin with.

I wasn't even trying to screenshot him dying to Fafnir, but was kinda funny how it worked out like that. He was /nin with 0% haste and only +12 enmity - how he had hate is beyond me; maybe he just died to breath or something although Fafnir was at like 43% at the time of that screenshot, so iono. He didn't even use his Reraise earring before he died! I normally wouldn't even post this, but being as I'm PLD main, this really made me .
