i dont really make money.. im just surviving... been doin enms but no luck with any real good drops, -- nothing that is consistant thats for sure

i have some BS and KS , but might just save up 99 and hope to hit something decent...

there is no way to clear my inventory space to start crafting again, the most inv space i have at any given time is 57/60 with full moghouse/locker/del.box rotations

then again i dont play as much, so dont even have time to do it if i wanted to,

    luckily for me only a few more things i'd like to buy, then its just a matter of getting enough money to do limbus D;

I love it! I love this plan! I'm excited to be a part of it!
Too bad he will run out of gil >
They need to add Gilgame to this game. That's the turtle you'd want to mug.

    I did lol..

I remember Fara's BC40 video on the IGN forums.

To make money, I respond to the shouts I hear from lowbies in town. 50k to guide someone through Rangemont Pass so they can get Ice weather in Beaucedine? Sounds easy enough to me.

Ive been leveling THF a lot lately, since I'm 39, I hang out in Rolanberry with my invite flag up and farm beehive chips. ;3

    Does not compute.

I make money by exping. 3 hours of even subpar exp on bard nets me enough imperial standing to get 150k worth of ISNM drops, several stacks of wind crystals, a few seals, and some beastmen weapons to NPC. More than enough to keep me in the black after OP warps, food and Limbus, which is really all I need.

If you're gonna make money by mugging you'ld probably be better off with vourive (NM wyvern in Ifrit's). He's passive and tracks by sight, so you can run up mug -> hide without having to actually fight him.

How do you sell culverins and who actually buys them?

Also, go merit and empty your inventory >.> 2k bstmen -1 gear, 250gil per puk/colibri item dropped, and if you have room wind crystals are 180gil a stack npcd or like 500gil profit on AH. Oh yeah, plus the merits and IS (lolIS). Oh, and it only took me 2hrs to get a 180k Thief's Knife the other day. Too bad it will be worth like 20k soon.

Culverins are the weapon of choice for rangers on dynamis lord or other zerg fights.

Protip: Sell all crystal stacks at one of the city AHs on a mule. AH fees won't rape you and if you think about it, you can easily match up which crystals "match" up to a city based on the major craft influence for the city.

    XP
    Send crystals to mule
    ????

Omg, yes really. Highest damage gun for Barrage/Slugshot spam on high-end zergling rushes. Problem is the bullets only stack to 12, so it's rather inefficient for day-to-day use.

    And for prices...

Heh, funny thing is I checked that almost immediately after I saw the post about culverin prices. lol. Last sale was over a year ago; figured it would be "newbish" to count that as a conclusive price. 8)

That's odd, looks like there was a sale 4 days ago on your server.

Now that I reread it, the original culverin post on the last page was about selling culverins +1. The most recent on Fenrir are from last december. My bad.

Over the last couple of days I have tried a ton of things to get my gil up (started at 35k). Just so anyone else was thinking of trying, clamming SUCKS. Farming is the steadiest. But where I made most of my money? Gambling > Convinced 3 of my friends to do Venture roll at the 10k Table once I had made about 200k from backed up synths and farming. In like 2 hours time, I pushed that up to 560k. Of course this is all luck as they each lost hundreds of thousands, but god damn that was satisfying taking from the rich and giving to the poor!

    I did lol..

I remember Fara's BC40 video on the IGN forums.
Faranim was actually my inspiration to play BRD after seeing his video back in 2004.

For making gil, I also duo Apollyon NW. It doesn't pull in 3mil+ a week like it used to, but it still puts a couple hundred k in my pocket. I also farm Kaman -1s occasionally if I see none up on AH.

Back when emp pin, :Ni, Erase, and leaping boots were very rare to see, this is how many people earned those items. That video was one of the first NA videos that really gave a practical strat to earn gil in the game. I remember watching that vid many many times and I kept thinking, "damn why didn't I listen to more techno before."

If people want to try clamming, my friend made a tool to keep track of your bucket:

    http://ffxi.lokyst.net/clammer/clamming.html

That'll let you go right up to the point of breaking it, so you can trade it in for max results.

What are the clamming profits like, anyway? What are the "good" items worth? Only like 5-10k or like 30k+?
