Hmm... If I am not mistaken, God created an eden for Adam, and later Eve. He deliberately put a "bad" thing in this eden and told Adam he could not touch. This "bad" thing was the tree of knowledge. Eve came along and wanted to better herself with this said knowledge, but because god did not tell her directly, she thought it was ok (and she's a girl, women are evil like that). Eve ate the apple and offered it to Adam who in turn ate it because he as a dumbass. So what is the moral of this story? God does not man or women to become knowledgeable. Apparently god cannot see into the future or into the minds of his creations. This proves god is not immaculate and omniscient.
That doesn't prove God isn't immaculate, do you even know what that means?

God gave man free will because being worshiped by robots isn't gratifying at all. God is selfish and likes the praise he gets from those that CHOOSE to worship him.

The 10 commandments give you moral codes to live by, they won't tell you everything common sense should already provide you with.
Actually, practically all the commandents are common sense so...
It's only commence sense now, 3500 years after they were 1st introduced. Prior to the the bible closest there was to a moral law(for the western world) was Hammurabi's code. and in hindsight it was far from "moral"

If im reading this right, you're basicaly saying God knew mankind would screw up and eat the apples even before he made them, but he decided to create them anyway so they could worship because he likes that.

This doesn't sound wrong to you at all?

What I think he's getting at is that a perfect God performing the actions most contemporary religions say their respective god has performed is impossible, given that most of those actions inherently violate said God's state of "perfection"

Although that doesn't get anywhere in regards to gods that aren't stated to be "perfect", which would be a whole other ball game

Why would he want everyone to live forever? What's the point of heaven then?

I still don't understand how people completely overlook the fact that millions of people die on a regular basis from starvation, disease, etc. Why does God allow it to happen? Millions of children that have not sinned at all, dying horrible deaths. What's the deal with SIDS? Is that Satan? I bet you'll say it is.

THE FACT REMAINS: If God does exist, he's a fucking scumbag and I don't wanna meet him.

I should become a Satan worshipper, he was smart enough to get the fuck out of there.

get the fuck off people for being religious. Heaven forbid someone believe there is a life after death, or comfort themselves in believing in god. You don't agree? Good for you, stop forcing your shit on those that do.

And before you even say "well thats what the religious cunts do!" think about it.

commence 2+ pages of belief vs science

    taking odds:

    1:1,000 belief wins

    1:1,000 science wins

    1:1 both sides stalemate

It's not that, I really don't like the fact that people are mislead or are able to be mislead into a false hope. It's sick and wrong. The fallacies are painful.

I'm less concerned about what people believe in individually and more about people who get confused about these things and don't know where to draw the line (i.e. things like bringing religion, which is a set of your own private beliefs and nobody's buisness but your own, into government, which is very much about a whole lot more people than you including, but not limited to, people who don't believe in exactly what you do)

Which is why I hate getting into the whole god argument, despite agreeing with it

I just don't see how people follow so blindly and refuse to consider other possibilities. It's so BCE. If you want to believe that you have an afterlife to look forward too, don't just say "Sure ok np" and disregard alternative possibilities, that shows that you are lazy and unwilling to learn, which is 90% of teenagers nowadays. All I want to see, is the effort to look into more than one religion, more than one possibility, more than one inevitability and at least gain a little respect for it and stop with this evangelical bullshit.

that's not what is going on here. Most people are religious due to faith. They don't need to be shown proof of any kind. In this regard, even shown evidence from the other side, they simply chose to believe. The others are relentlessly questioning and all sorts of bullshit. You are the one's trying to change minds, please proceed to get the fuck off the religious people's ass'. It's not like it even matters -.-

God damn, I'm not even religious

*The evangelical rant was just in general, not towards this topic so to say.* That's what upsets me. Maybe because I am logical, and I like to know all the options, but I find that just horribly stupid.

For regular people, gives them the comfort they need to keep on living, doing whatever it is they want to do, and the freedom to worry about other(mundane) things. Some people just don't want to think about "bigger things", they'd rather just take the "premade ideas" from other people that have already done the thinking for them, so they can spend their time worrying about something else.

If it sounds good, and it works, then they can just take it for what it is and not spend any time worrying about it. It's sort of like driving a car but having absolutly no interest in exactly how or why the car works, as long as it works. If you were to keep thinking about everything in life all the time, you'd never have any time to just do what you want to do, so you just spend time thinking about some things, and for others you let someone else do the thinking for you. If you were to try to understand every single thing, you'd spend your entire life doing it. For some people, religion is one of those things they would rather accept as is and follow than argue with. It's not really a matter of right or wrong...it's just a different set of priorities

no, I'm saying God chose to allow Adam and Eve the chance to disobey him, so that by choosing to obey him and worship him, they were thusly choosing him over the knowledge of good and evil.

Them eating the apple eventually upsets him because it means something came before him in their eyes,in this case the knowledge of good and evil.

Saying God knew they'd screw up is a dumb point. If we are considering God and all of mankind it's just a little arrogant to attempt to reason what he was thinking. The logical argument is, he chose to give free will to his creation so when it chose him it was more gratifying.

I don't see what's so hard to understand. You argue like you're trying to either find some truth you didn't know existed, which won't happen since most of you reject all of the Bible itself, or as if you want to convince anyone who practices a religion that they're wrong. The latter is just lame.

@Anyway : Hm just remembered, if you choose to worship Satan that's kewl, but by doing so you acknowledge a God exists and that Satan is servant to him. See Jobe, Satan has to get permission from God to do anything harmful to people under the eyes of God. God is a divine being therefore can only look upon things free of sin, i.e. people who've repented from their sin through Jesus Christ.

I think your question is wrong, due to a misunderstanding in the fable.

They were simply removed from the Garden of Eden, lost their infinite knowledge, direct fellowship with God, and immortality. All results of knowing about good and evil, not just God going crazy on them for disobeying him.
