Any plans to reduce prices for Limbus / Dynamis?
No. These prices are exactly what they are meant to be. And getting closer to their intended value every day.
How the hell do we kill AV?
The way you kill JoL is attributed to how AV fights, and the abilities he has. We will not divulge any further information at this time. Perhaps in the future, like goblin drink, we may give more hints.
Mr. Sundi, do you really have any knowledge of your own game?
He has a professional knowledge, he does not know the intricacies as well as some of the players. His position is a public relations specialist, not a programmer or developer, And as that he serves his purpose.

On a serious note Id like to see the energy behind BG's own "Dear SE" section fired up again. With the last update some questions/concerns need to be updated but there are still other things to be said or asked.

The march update contained a lot of things people wanted and was declared instant win before things sunk in.

To be fair, Nyzul is pretty awesome. But at the same time, the teaser with pictures of fafnir on it were kinda misplaced because you don't get any of those drops, meaning no one has a reason to leave Aery any more now than they did before (Barring getting the drops).

Compounding this, the NM's that you fight drop a ??? item that almost always turns out to be total crap, without any of the other valuable items that those NM's can drop. Read: Arthro, King. Damascene Cloth (Example). Make no mistake, Nyzul is nice, but how nice they made it look vs. what it is kinda seems misleading. Now if those weapons are going somewhere or have a hidden/latent...

The NM switches =/= Content, but rather something which should have been in the game a long time ago. Fafnir/Aspido/etc I can see them wanting to stay rare, but mobs like King Arthro/MeeDeggi there's no excuse for that kinda competition. On the other hand, it's nice that the KS99 fights are finally worth something, lol.

The recent patch wasn't *BAD* by any stretch, but at the same time, it's also not the gamebreaker that people said it was. SE is in trouble because they held to their crappy guns for so long, they realized it and that's why we have these changes now.

lol, people have been saying SE jumped the shark since Limbus and all through ToAU. What a bullshit thing to say, like "The world is going to end in 2000!".

This would be super, but again, ppl been calling for this for years and they finally say they're going to consider it now... means it'll maybe be developed even more way too late.

This is one of the signs of a healthy MMO economy. When people strain to purchase NPC-bought things means that plenty of gil is leaving the economy such that it can remain balanced.

It is definitely one of the contributing factors that I noticed helping maintain a healthy economy on most WoW servers.

except when most of the gil is circulating to rmt before it leaves the system. the only ways se has been removing significant amounts of gil from the economy is by letting rmt monopolize things, and then by banning rmt bank accounts. they're getting the gil out of the system in the least ethical way possible.

for the average player to dig up 100K a week to do limbus at today's econmy is quite high.

I always thought that FFXI was way too gil driven which is why the rmt are successful more on FFXI than WoW or Vanguard. I played vanguard for a little while and one thing I noticed was you could quest entire sets of gear that are useful and improve your character through the means of quests at all levels instead of "I need 1.4million gil for this item".

I've seen some people hint that they think BG should be a premier site over some of the others, but personally, I'm glad BG isn't a premier site.

First of all, SE knows BG exists in some form or another. Somebody over there reads it, maybe not in an official capacity, but we know some do. Really, that's all that matters, in terms of SE recognition. They don't have to publically acknowledge it, but we know they know what we talk about somehow. Our message gets across.

Secondly, if it were a premier site, we'd have to follow their guidelines which would essentially neuter BG forums.

Third, it would be publically advertised as a premier site, and would draw the same kind of crowd as alla and some of the other premier sites.

The premier sites are merely figureheads. They're there for publicity and to make the fanbase happy. It doesn't mean non-premiere sites have no influence. They may not get official recognition, but SE has been giving hints lately of a certain level of awareness in the kinds of things people are talking about. At least, it seems to be getting better than it used to be. I'm happy where we're at.

Who says you have to do Limbus twice a week every week?

Most seasonsed players have went thru the rollercoaster economy of FFXI, up and down, left and right, swirlies and huge up-hill climbs, then huge down-hill falls.

I remember when I joined FFXI almost 2.5 years ago (NA PC/PS2 release) having 100k gil was an amazing feat, if you had 1mil+ you owned the server, early on I'm talking about. (excluding the JP's)

Problem is alot of the playerbase has become accustomed to the FFXI weekly work regiment

    2 Limbus's a week
    2 Dynamis's a week
    2-5 BCNM's, ISNM's, etc.
    Assault
    Besiged
    Salvage

Most hardcore end-gamer have the mindset/pushing themselves like there still in the economic reinasance era of FFXI after Zilart before COP

Players have to change there habits and adjust to the new economy standards and stop complaining to SE either to give us more gil or reduce the price

When Dynamis was introduced, people sacrificed gil, just to learn and find out how to win areas (economy wasn't flourishing, was around the same as this now). Not everything was handed to them on a silver platter, so why should SE do it know?

SE isn't a stupid company, it knows the timesinks it has placed. If they didn't do the RMT ban-a-thon most players would have bought gil, ruined the economy more, more gil circulation for other players, less gil taken out, sooner or later there would have been a super bottleneck at end-game (there is a bottleneck but severe to the 1000+ man aery @_@) because most would have done all the side-stuff quickly (due to alot of gil being in circulation)

With the RMT bans, SE has a win-win situation. Frst they are showing there playerbase that they do care, and are doing something about it. The second is that the economy has taken such a topsy-turvy dive, prices are back to those "100k gil was an amazing feat, if you had 1mil+ you owned the server, early on I'm talking about. (excluding the JP's)" that now players don't have resources to accumulate gil quickly and burn thru the new adventures/quest/etc., and have to work/earn the gil different/hard/slow methods, that SE will have you in their grasp longer now due to it = more money thru monthly fees.

Its 4:25 am in NYC, I do not why I ranted about a game I don't even play no more, sorry if I kept yapping, my bad =/
