Because ther are only 4 pups per server ands the other 3000 or so people having 20 more inventory would use more memory than the barely noticable ammount those 4 people would need! <.<Originally Posted by Suiram

how about is there any plans to increase the zones of whitegate from 2 to 4? its pretty damn ridiculous how SE has to continue to beg people to move out of whitegate due to overcrowding.
SE should really drop the PS2 limitations excuse. This game has been unavailable for the PS2 for several years now. Sony discontinued support for the HDD several years ago. The 360 is a very cheap alternative.
SE should just pick a date, sometimes soon, and declare that PS2 users need to upgrade or GTFO.
Sadly wont ever happen, they would lose a huge player base.
Here's a suggestion that has nothing to do with end-game, and is probably not too much of a stretch to do. Why not put someone in Jeuno that will warp you to Whitegate for a tribute similar to the one that warps you to Jeuno? You'd have to complete a quest in ToAU, of course. The main result I'd be looking for is an effective way to decrease Whitegate lag (instead of moving people 10 feet from each other when exiting mog house). I'd so much rather stay in Jeuno if I knew setting my homepoint there didn't mean I was out of luck on freely moving around to Whitegate or Al Zabhi. Hell, I'd set my homepoint at a home town if the AH there was connected to Jeuno and I could get back to Whitegate easily.
Macro failures are quite common in laggy areas.....
THey usually will work for the first few lines of equip change but beyond that its a dice shoot...
This is both PS2 and PC I have seen this
Hey there ps3 with '4d' graphics.Originally Posted by Croaker

- Can you expand Combat merits to 16 total and Magic to 12? [Ask for more if you're feeling lucky]
- Can we have more macro lines? [God, this would be a must to replace Windower]
- Can we have 6 Assault tags max, and regen 2 per 24hr? See Nyzul and Salvage for reasons. [Be sure to tell them you love Assault and really love the new content...but you just can't use it with only 3 tags a day.]
- Will Monk and Ranger ever get a set of level 70+ JSE?
- Can you add a Warp Taru in Jeuno: 1k for a warp to Whitegate would be sexy. [You go Miji, great idea. It bears repeating so I will do so]
- When will we be able to obtain Abjurations through alternate means?
- Why can't we call our NPCs in ToAU areas? Why is the level cap still 65? Why can't we lock every piece of armor? Do you even remember adding these to the game?
- When will you be hiring Taj and Septimus? They'll fix everything that's wrong for you in a week.
This would be great, and I'm sure that people would definitely set their HP in Jeuno.Originally Posted by Miji

-Possible to keep OPs when switching nation in the same way CP is kept? (lose them but once you switch back you regain them) or for an extra fee carry them over?
-Reason why NPCs cannot be called in ToAU zones? (if its to do with NPC storyline will they be adding onto this?)
-Macro lines (see above)
Also information from here would be nice to bring up if you plan to talk about the next expansion. (if this is what they hoped vanadiel to be like?)
Already answered- they wanted full PT's in ToAU areas, rather than person + NPC.- Why can't we call our NPCs in ToAU areas?
Far as the rest goes- yeah, at this point one tag/day is getting silly. You need tags to do Nyzul. You need tags to do Assault, which in turn lets you get the AP needed for Salvage. Assault + Salvage was managable, but all three together isn't happening very easily.
And having a Jeuno-Whitegate option (via Tenshodo, naturally) would make the whole two city option run much more smoothly. Of course, I can see why for storyline purposes...would you really want to give a foreign nation the ability to teleport people en masse into your capital? (Ergo, the Tenshodo "shady teleporter".) Alternatively (and also good)- make it Jeuno -> Nashmau instead, making the transit time effectively about the same as Mhaura -> Selbina and back (less if you go Nashmau -> Runic Portal)...and more story-logical since Nashmau isn't controlled by the Empire.
More macro lines would be nice. I hate having two or more macroes for gear swaps. IS for Salvage access would be nice too. Using Assault points seems counterproductive.
If you're going to ask one endgame question, you should make it this:
- Could you guys please make Absolute Virtue killable?
They cared enough about Sea to finally fix the drop rate on virtues, but then they leave AV being the unstoppable force and immovable object at the end of it all. If AV is killable, then no one has a clue on how to do it and they should throw us some hints.
Oh and Salvage isn't broken so much, as it is just requiring monks to do certain things. Which I'm fine with because how many other endgame activities need monks? Yeah. And please don't change Salvage to gil or IS. If it was changed to gil, I would just use AP to get items to sell to get the gil needed. Assault tags are free, AP are free. I agree that I dislike all 3 activities on the same tag timers, but it's not that bad.
So it's OK to be a BLM/SMN/BLU/BST and go around solo/duo/trio to exp or merit but I can't bring out my NPC because it will ruin everyone's fun?Already answered- they wanted full PT's in ToAU areas, rather than person + NPC.
Fuck you SE. Bullshit answer there.
They said they didnt want BST to do it either.Originally Posted by TsingTao
they seem to work around ps2 limitations by adding alternative methods.. such as mog locker.. my suggestion to the macro problem is to leave it at 6 lines... and try this..
-improve the macro system greatly.. you won't need to increase the number of lines per macro
if you do the following: Add equipment sets.. a whole new thing under config. this way you can
make an equipment set for example, called "RestingGear". Then in a macro..
/equip set "RestingGear".
You can't go to your home nation from jeuno, quickly, unless one of the regions directly surrounding jeuno is under your nation's control. That' the reasons I started setting my HP in white gate instead of windurst.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX
The running from the leypoint to al zahbi really didn't bother me since I didn't have much business to conduct in white gate. However, once it was possible to go to Windurst from the warp taru it was an easy choice to move my home point to an Aht Urghan area.
I have actually put some thought into this and I feel that this would break Ridill WARs even further. I would like to expand it to something along the lines of if you are dual wielding and you have maximum merits to have 8 for the main and and 4 capped for the off hand, or something similiar. It would be difficult for those that have 4 Axe and 8 Sword, but I think some kind of solution needs to be found before we suggest that.Originally Posted by TsingTao
So I would word the question to be something like this:
Considering the fact that there are many players with multiple melee jobs at 75 now, is there a way to expand merits for them without overpowering dual wielding jobs (subbing NIN)? For example, limiting or capping merits for weapons that are wielded in the off-hand or splitting merit groups between one-handed weapons and dual-wield weapons.
combat/magic merits need to be scaled to how many 75 jobs that person has imo.
