So what? It's 15 minutes on 2 different occasions or its 30 minutes on one occasion if you let your tags accumulate. Same amount of effort involved.Originally Posted by Huggles

I'm a tad bit confused...
are we asking new questions to be asked by Bercus?
Or are we just talking about the recent changes and how they relate to the interview(s)?
I understand what you're saying, but I have no clue what the point is that you're trying to make.Originally Posted by Huggles
You accumulate 4 tags by doing nothing for the 3 days that you're not doing Assault (which amounts to 0 work), then spam 4 Assaults over the course of about an hour (20 minutes gather/organization time and 10 minutes per Assault ... and I'm being generous given that it takes my group less than 5 minutes to get ready). You now have somewhere between 4000 and 6000 points, or 2-3 runs. Most groups run twice per week tops, which leaves you 3-4 other tags per week to use towards other things (such as Nyzul or Assault armor).
So yeah ... I'm really not sure what your point is about it being spread out over 2 days. It really sounds like you're nit-picking about something that isn't an issue at all because you've run out of real arguments to support your point.
On a more lighthearted note:
FIX MOVALPOLOS.
......and conquest overall. sanction bonus everywhere? /yes
Maybe Region-Specific special bonuses for exping in certain areas, something that would motivate exping in "crazy" places?
Good idea, maybe make the signet bonus give xp bonuses for small parties, allow you to rest without losing TP, and give evasion and defense bonuses against TW-EM. Someone should suggest that.Originally Posted by ronin sparthos
You totally got me there. I sit chained to my computer waiting for my tags to recharge whenever I want AP. It's hard work but it has to be done.Originally Posted by Huggles
It'd probably take me longer to get out to Castle Zvahl than it would to do two assaults. Unless I wanted to pay for a teleport or use a silver coin and then pay for an OP to Xarcabard. Gotta spend money to make money I guess!![]()
And to clarify another point, I wouldn't need to farm gil. I, like a lot of people I know, are just sitting on piles of cash with nothing left to buy short of relics. And I /never/ want to farm again. I play the game for fun, not to mindlessly kill weak monsters for hours on end like I did when I started. That's why I adore the thought of an end game system that perpetuates itself. Doing free Assaults get you Assault points and consumables that you need/want to do Salvage runs which you gain access to using Assault points. Limbus and Dynamis sort of do the same thing by dropping forms of currency, but you still need to find someone to buy said currency. If you could just give the goblin a 100 piece and get an hourglass, or give Sagheera 3 Ancient Beastcoins and get cosmo-cleanse, then that would be awesome in my eyes too.
The only possible point you could try to make is you can't get AP fast enough to do Salvage every day. You sure can get close though btw, I've made 1760 AP on a repeat Assault before as the leader. I could pretty easily sustain a pace of 5 Salvage runs a week though assuming I had 0 AP. An average of 1400 AP a run is pretty easy to maintain. At any rate, it's all moot. If SE chose a gil fee as the entry limitation, then they would probably have put a 3 day cooldown time on Salvage entry anyhow. Same as Limbus and Dynamis. And that's just because they don't want people blowing through content and getting bored. They want people to be conflicted on the use of their tags between Assault gear, Salvage, and now even Nyzul. It forces people to choose between them, and drag out the content.
Ask them if they have plans to make BLU/COR/PUP AF requestable.
ask them yourself, you can get on Atomos!Originally Posted by Taj
Actually this is incorrect... if they wanted the AH to be distributed then they would have given us a seven auction limit per AH. At this point it only hinders new players to keep them separate. I would suggest removing the distributed Auction Houses in favor of linking them all.Originally Posted by Kyreth
If the each city's economy somehow played a larger role in declaring their dominance over one another then I could see a reason for distributed auction houses... but at this late point in the game's life cycle it only stands as a frustration.
The thing that all you PS2 owners are failing to realize is that while you're clinging to the shittiest version of the game possible, the hardware is being phased out. Since the game won't run on a PS3, that leaves you with two current options... move to the PC or the 360.Originally Posted by shihei

Some questions + suggestions.
1. How do you weaken AV enough to be able to kill it? (seriously beat this question into their heads)
2. Serious updates need to be made to the lagging behind crafting system.
3. Continue to remove money drops off HNM's such as KA - Dama cloths.
4. Add removed money drops from HNM's to ISNM's.
5. Add rage timers to Tiamat, Cerberus, Khimiara, these NM's are held everytime they spawn sometimes up to over an hour while gm's do nothing.
6. Is there any plans to open up the imperial ward in white gate to reduce the lag in these zones?
7. Any plans to expand the amount macro lines?
There is no Imperial Ward.Originally Posted by Lordender

Square-Enix has never, ever realased an entire area that wasn't contained on an expansion disc. Examples: Lumoria, Temenos & Apollyon (Under different names,) Tu'Lia, Hazhalm Testing Grounds (Still not used for anything), CoP Dynamis (Valkurm, Buburimu, Qufim, Tavnazia), Dynamis itself, Ruins of Alzadaal/Remnants/Nyzul Isle, The Colloseum, The Chocobo Track, etc. The only DATs for the Imperial Ward is the small room you see Razfahd & Co. in, for cutscenes. It's also not in the string table for areas. It's not going to be an area.Originally Posted by shirizaan

All that means is that it wont be an area in THIS expansion.
COP CSs showed the Hall of the Gods when technically, you could be playing it without ROZ.
With the Far East seemingly coming closer to a reality (though it's probably a good eight months to a year away), I expect the Imperial Ward will eventually be opened up to access the area between the two nations (though we'll mostly likely start from somewhere else).
Also, I'm not sure how they edit zones, but I just assumed that the size of the last update had something to do with having to re-add 3 zones to tack on the Chocobo Racing buildings.
imo the imperial ward was originally intended for a zone but canceled due to storyline purposes. the imperial ward is as big as it is in the cutscene, and I doubt it'll get any bigger (in this, nor the next expansion). there's a reason why the zone isn't accessible... it holds many key npcs (empress(aphmau)/grandvizer) that they don't want us to be able to go up and talk to. some might not even live through the missions and thus most of the potential npcs that are back there would have questionable dialogue. the zone is what the duke's palace in ru'lude gardens is, and prishe's room for cop... they don't want you back there.
as for questions, i guess i'd try to ask some general questions about the expansion, but imo its too early for them to release details. i feel we'll first hear about it in mid/late summer... and then probably a spring/summer2008 release. but if you want to try and throw some questions about it out there just in case.
1) ToAU brought alot of highlevel content and leveling areas. Will the new expansion continue the release of high-level content or will it provide reasonable enhancements for low-mid level players aswell, without the use of annoying level-capped areas.
2) Will the next expansion take place in the Far East? If so, will it require the Aht'Urhgan expansion?
3) Are there any plans to increase the level cap? I know its been stated several times that there were no intentions on raising the level cap past 75... but that was over 3 years ago. Are the developers reconsidering the current level cap or possibly another upgrade to merits?
4) Are there any plans to add new jobs, race, and/or starting nation with the next expansion? A new playable race along with a new starting nation (along with some other adjustments) may bring back many players who have quit, aswell as interest many of the veterans.
sorry if 3 & 4 are a little zam-ish, but i guess those would be some good questions to start out with about the expansion, although i really do believe its too early for them to answer
A few pages too late, but don't the recast-lowering merits themselves say "Berserker Recast", etc.?Originally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
