In theory, maybe, but I wouldn't download anything that uploads to a server in real time. lol

you can do something like run an ajax script on HTML calling the chat request every second and updating a page with javascript "live" on your own computer (must be same one installed FFXI on). This page will then have a scrolling live chat with a 1 second delay or less for anyone to view on LSchat.

Then all you would need is to run a free webserver like apache on your computer and give your LS members the IP and URL to view.

Come to think of it, someone can just start up a linkshell log service, basically run a bunch of FFXI clients on 1 windows computer that is also a webserver, and have different linkshells subscribe to get their very own password-protected chat log. Not sure if people would really pay for this kind of thing though. Each LS would need to supply a fresh copy of FFXI or an unused account that just sits in the LS to collect the text log. Imagine if every LS website who paid for this service can have a running live LS chat on their web site, would be kinda interesting.

I think Taru punting is definitely the way of the future. If you got them to put opti hat on it would make them nice and aerodynamically streamlined.
