Input signal lost
Okay, so recently, I've been playing WoW/FFXI on my old sony vaio PC. Everything was fine until today, when every 5 minutes or so, my entire computer would crash, and the screen would black out for a second. Shortly after, everything was pretty much okay, aside from WoW/FFXI, whichever I was playing being unresponsive. After about 3 of these black screens, it just froze completely and the screen blacked out again, giving me the "Input Signal Lost" or some message, at which point the moniter turns off and I have to restart my computer via the power button. I really don't know anything about computers so any assistance would be great, thanks.

That issue sounds suspiciously like a video card that has overheated and is fried.
One of the quick ways to test this is open the case of your system, use a can of compressed air to clean out the dust bunnies and run the system to see if the crash repeats again. Observe WHEN it crashes as well. If you have a spare video card, switch cards and see if the issue repeats. If not... video card has gone piff.

thanks, I'll look into that.
also, if this matters, my action bars/frames on WoW look like they're shaking.
