I don't really care how much they may act like assholes, DB does quality subbing very quickly and is consistant. The only other anime I've been watching that has had the same done is the group doing Claymore, Eclipse. Overhyped and overpopular? Maybe considering so many other anime don't get out there, but both are still at the top of my favorites for anime.

A.F.K are usually on time and consistant. They also do many projects at once. DB is highly overrated for what they do.

I can't recall ever getting Lucky Star subs until around Tuesday, when it airs on Sundays. Maybe my memory is off, but it wasn't nearly as fast as DB. Not that I'm attacking a.f.k. in any way, I'm just supporting DB.

Yeah, when you do 1 project with a shit load of people I would expect it fast as well. But other groups don't have tons of resources and often sub 2 shows at a time. Also, shows like lucky star are riddled with jokes and stupid phrases that I bet are often hard to translate and explain.

I agree Lucky Star is probably pretty tough to translate. I'm actually not sure if the OP song is translated correctly. I downloaded the Lucky Channel fansub of episode 4 and they had a number of different lyrics for the song, which made more sense as well. But for the most part I think I've gotten the jokes in Lucky Star so I'm happy with the translation.

And just because DB is big doesn't take away from the fact they do their job well. It's just a good reason why other fansub groups don't do it as quickly.

Guerrand has 19 out. I didn't think it was that funny, a few segments that I didn't really get (either from a lack of watching what the joke was about or from not being JP) and most of it just wasn't LOL funny, last couple lines before Lucky Channel was great though, lol. 17 and 18 were a lot better.

I disagree, as great as the Kanata segment was in its own right, the last scene was perfect to pull the show back to the light-hearted comedy it's supposed to be.
