wow is that how english subs translate it? for some reason it's laugh factor divide by 2 for me there from original.... not sure what it is, i mean it's an accurate translation and all

If you can't pinpoint it, it's probably due to the lack of pause when she talk (she says it in one go really fast), but you don't need to understand japanese to get that. Anyway, the joke here is the reference to Kanon, and it's pretty obvious in this case with the english translation, I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

It started off well ;o Gonna need to watch more tho to see if it continues - too early to tell. Same with School Days - I like it so far.

I really like the start of the two sequels too - Higurashi Kai and Zero no Tsukaima.
