Well, in a street fight like that... Judo just wouldn't compare to other martial arts like Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu , Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Aikido... the list goes on and on. It's not that Judo is bad, it's that Judo is focused around pinning the opponent. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Judo is a fun martial art in competitions, but it just doesn't square up in MMAs.

I was taught by the sensei (while practicing judo teqniques on me ), that when you're going to fight someone who primarily uses judo as their weapon...

A- Don't panic when caught in a hold, it will only drain you're energy faster, and thats one of the things those who use judo try to do.

B- Don't use force to break out, you'l actually increase the damage you receive, instead calmly access the hold you're in and try to counter it, using slow movements (yea, while you're in a fight its going to be hard to do that, but thats what DICIPRIN IS FOR).
