Haha, and seeing Rollo's geass in the scene where he kills that guy in the sewers gave me a little more faith in Code Geass.Originally Posted by octopus
I noticed all the Geasses show before his had effects on the mind, and I figured time-stopping or teleporting were a bit different and I didn't feel his Geass fit in, but well, that's obviously not exactly what his Geass does, even though it would appear to other people as if it does.
More like, why can't all the women be like Chizuru...Originally Posted by Lazysmurf

It seems that it stops the minds of people within rage, rather than stopping time.
(But of course, it would seem to anyone other than him that was in range that time had stopped and he did whatever during that period of time, etc)
well, we can only wait whats the official answer about it. Me and some others who used to read the Jojo series, the first came in mind is the time stopping lol... Then we just guessing is either the world or king crimson ability. But this episode did tell alittle about it.
Charismatic's right, he doesn't stop time.
To follow up, you can tell that Rollo's geass doesn't stop time due to the water flowing in the background during the scene.
I thought they made it obvious how his Geass worked. Though the concept of Geass is rather crazy they do seem to have their boundaries.
You can tell it doesn't actually stop time by looking at the waterfall behind Viletta. It's still flowing as she's seemingly frozen. Charismatic is right. It's basically stopping all the thoughts from reaching your brain to move, see, hear, and all that.. leaving you in a state of shock almost, as it were. That's how I look at it at least. It's an awesome Geass power though for sure.
Plus, so far, all the Geass have had some effect on people's brains. Time stop would be a bit different.
Freezing people's minds wouldn't explain how he managed to get out of the explosion range of Urabe's Gekka.
The waterfall behind Viletta was probably just outside of his Geass effective range. Or maybe just just froze that small space.
Wasn't he also doing that teleporting inside his mecha suit thing, it seems he doesn't even need to look in anyones eye to do it.
That's one of the things we haven't been able to figure out. I think the Waterfall was in range, but how he evaded the explosion? No clue. Maybe he has some special power linked into his Vincent Knightmare or something that we haven't learned about yet.
@Blarg: Yeah. We know he doesn't have to look at anyone based on episode 3. Villeta was frozen in place (Had the red around her eyes signifying Geass was being used on her) and what not. The thing is, with episode 1, the explosion didn't get his Vincent Knightmare and he just teleported away from it. Maybe he stopped them just as it was about to explode and moved away? No clue.
