Well considering he's the keeper of souls technically, he probably can't move from his current location.

Intro some time ago mentioned something about a large ball of souls of evil or something, maybe its a part of that city or under it or something and his power keeps it supressed.

does Spice and Wolf have season2? The ending didnt really feel like an ending to me =/

I watched the whole season yesterday and loved it. I''m certain it's not the real ending considering the light novel isnt over, but I thought it was a nice way to end it for now. Hopefully, they will make a second season. Also, the dvd bonus episode (#7) was released not too long ago, you might want to check for a sub eventually.

Anyone got any recommendation, I'm still looking for depressing/sad story, but I'm not sure where to look next ;/

I don't understand japanese, but I thought it was obvious Fuyuki wrote it. No one beside him had a reason to write her.

Chiaki: "If you have something to say, just say it" at the end of episode 12 (after she realize he isn't comming back) was probably my favorite scene. It was nice to see something backfire at her.

Just watched 9 and I really have to disagree, sure it wasn't all out like EP7 but it was back on track with the normal animation and I thought overall it was done well.

As for the emo thing, it's a 52? EP series, each character has to have a back story, especially when it comes to the military (full metal panic, gundam 00) and that's just that, backstory, I wouldn't call it emo.

Really enjoyed the EP, not enough Sheryl + Alto though

it's a 26 ep series i believe

FMP is a much better mecha anime. most of the background stories are told in short story collections aside from the main novel series, and in the anime they are smoothly told "between the lines" of the main plot, touched just enough to make sense, not at all fillers.

MF ep9's story had no transition whatsoever between it and the main plot, and it feels exactly like watching a gundam filler episode, and i hate gundam's guts
