Is it possible to download druaga tower in avi/mkv format? The official streaming are particularly bad and hard to read (unless I missed an HQ version somewhere). I wouldnt mind watching them if I liked the show, but it's kinda a pain to find the motivation to watch streaming when you don't really care about it.


I watched xxxholic #9 a few minutes ago and loved it. Such a shame no one seem to enjoy it like I do D: This season is really good so far.

That was kinda retarded. He lost his credibility when he gave Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei as an example to demonstrate his point about fansubber using too many notes. This show would lose its appeals to people here if there wasn't all the text on screen.

It doesn't matter if you translate something from japanese to english, english to french, or chinese to italian; the best translation is the one that is as close to the original as it can be. Thing like honorific titles, made up words, places don't need to be translated, or at least, they shouldnt be translated if you can write it it in a format that can be understood by the viewer.

"selective bullshit"...yes, it probably is in certain case, but any sort of translation will have that kind of "selective bullshit". No language can be translated perfectly to another and every translators will have to make choices. Personally, I'm glad to have as many details as I can have on the screens. Not only does it explains a joke or an element that could lose its meaning, it allows me to understand it properly next time.

I absolutely love xxxHolic- was the one thing I was most excited for when this season started. I agree with you that the season has been really good so far. (Though the mahjong episode lost me at times but I've never actually played the game before >_>) Watched 9 a little bit ago- was <3

Mahjong parts werent too bad, it's Watanuki being hysterics the whole time that annoyed me the most... but I've said that already a few pages ago. D: This show is the best when it show sad story, and last episodes was great in that aspect.

I hope next episodes isnt the last with Kohane, because the previous 2 were really good.

At least the manga had him started off kicking ass after being hit by a car, and later blocking bullets with his arm...but I guess that would have happened later in the series.

This season is getting more dissapointing as it progress...I really had high hope for a lot of the series, but with kurenai failing horribly on one episode where I'd have expected either a character development, decent fight scenes, or both...guess this season wasn't nearly as interesting as I had hoped.

Pity, since it started off on such an awesome note, but between geass 7, macross F 8, and now kurenai 9, it's like 3 week straight of crap on all the series I enjoy.

I don't see how it's failing horribly, I accepted that the show might be different from what I expected, but the interactions between characters are one of the best things I've seen in a while. I dunno what you were expecting or why it was disappointing, but Shinkurou getting beat up was naturally going to happen, it wouldn't be much fun to watch nor would it make any sense if he just beat up everyone. That would make the previous episodes invalid, since this could be seen as a journey for Shinkurou to gain strength and protect the people he wants, rather than to kick ass from the get go.

Oh I totally agree cause he is insanely annoying when he starts flipping out- but watching all the mahjong talk and everything was just like... "okay what're they trying to do? Wait, what?" I'd just wait for the score to come up and see that he was still failing. >.>;

I don't think the next one will be the last one for Kohane but that could be just wishful thinking. I really like Kohane- not so much as Doumeki but yeah xD

You haven't been watching the show at all if you don't understand why Shinkurou had to get his ass beat during Episode 9. It's all part of Benika's plan, she knew the Kuhoins would get Murasaki back, Benika let Shinkurou take care of Murasaki because they both have gone through similar pain, and are both lonely. Shinkurou will wallow in his guilt and misery next episode and then hes going to go fuck some shit up and take back Murasaki in Episode 11, then Episode 12 will be the happy end.
