Soul Eater 10 was great. I really liked Black Star for a change when his character became serious all of a sudden.

He gives off a Naruto vibe to me, except cooler. He can actually be super sneaky and stuff when he's not trying to prove how big he is. That's why he's entertaining for me.

God Naruto is like 100x crappier in terms of skill comparing with Black Star. I'd say on stupid catchphrases and saying total nonsense all the time they're on equal levels. I'd say he's a Naruto when he's not serious and then a badass Shikamaru/Sasuke who keeps his cool and owns everything. : p

I compare Death the Kid to Sasuke... except 1000000x funnier with his problem. xD Death the Kid I have to admit is pretty awesome. Not just his style, but his problem.

Kid's OCD is pretty funny to watch. But I still love EP9 with Black Star and Kid finding Excalibur. EP10 was awesome, 11 should be as well.

oh! what is different about the late night showing and the regular showing? i started watching w/ the subs for the latenight (Rumbel) but they got slow so switched to tadashi... only difference i find is lack of the random scenes in the beginning, middle and end >.>

I've felt that way about berserk for over a year now. Although I gotta say it looks like the next few episodes are gonna be epic. But really I want to see more about Gutts.

Anyway, I need some anime to watch. Something good but vague I guess. Looking for comedy, action or thriller/mystery type anime (like Ergo Proxy etc). That and something really emotional/depressing. No point listing what I've watched, just recommend stuff and if I haven't seen it I'll look it up. Also, manga is fine too.

I watched the first 4 episodes of Negima!? last night. I didnt like it much, but holy shit, animation is so good. The intro and final segment add a nice touch too. There is some good stuff, but the script is at the complete opposite of the other series. One had a bunch of unneeded scenes, the other cut on characters development way too much.


Watched druaga 7-10 as well. I really hope this show pickup after last episode's plot twist because it fails to make me cares about their goal. I'm not sure why, I guess the cheesy rpg cheesy setting turn me off.

Berserk is fun, but it's another manga that won't end anytime soon. I'm staying away from it until it's over because waiting is a bitch.

Elcura, did you ever get to watch Baccano? It's worth the time. Not particularly emotional, but it was still good. Shigofumi/shinigami no ballad were awesome and emotional, but I'm sure you watched those already. xxxholic has a bunch of depressing stuff as well, especially 2nd seasons.

Yea, it is really depends on personal opinion. Since that you should not expect it will be the Mahou Sensei Negima that you are knowing about. I think the most CON for me about this anime is that they over-do on the "Neta". They try to make the anime some sort of funny, but sometimes when if you didn't watch some very old school anime or read some old manga before, you have no idea what the blackboards about


Btw, I like the ED better than the OP. Because those characters dancing and playing instrument are so cute

Like I said, the main issue I have with second season is the lack of (or butchered) character development. Nothing happened and everyone is already best buddy. Asuna talked to Negima three minutes before the first pact, Nodoka barely saw Negi and she's already in love, Evengeline's backstory is told really fast..etc. I don't want them to waste 10 episodes on it either, but they were forcing it kinda.

Still too early to comment on the plot, but I thought the anime was well done in overall. I loved the blackboard part even if I dont get most of them, and graphics are seriously amazing (loved the artstyle in flashback). If I had to compare the production value, I would say that Negima!? is much better, but it's missing what I liked the most about the first series, a simple story focussed on the characters more than the plot.

I'd DEFINETLY reccomend Mushishi if you have something good and vague lol, it's like xxxholic without the crazy main character like watanuki

Last I read about Berserk some evil persian emperor or something was about to go all behelit on a city, I think. Is that at all close to where things are now, or is it just where the bundle pack I downloaded ages ago happened to stop?
