I'm glad. I liked season 1, so season 2 should be interesting now that it seems to have more depth. Like S1 was the set up and S2 is the real thing. I wonder if they'll do a time skip ahead or just go straight from the point they stopped.

The studio that did Kure-nai never does sequels, they went for a conclusive end, not really happy or sad.

[spoiler:rip1e7z2]In the first novel, they go in and rescue Murasaki and she starts to live with Shinkuro again, she lives with him all through the next 3 novels, and the Kuhoins are not really talked about anymore. The next 3 novels take a darker tone and focus more on Shinkuro's job and the 12 families of the underground (Houzuki being one of them).

The novels aren't licensed though so you have to know Japanese to read them, I don't even think baka-tsuki has started to translate them yet. There is a Kure-nai manga but it takes place after Murasaki has already started to live with Shinkuro again.[/spoiler:rip1e7z2]

Sucks, I really want to read it. Seems like it could get so much more interesting.

Way I see it is the end is not really the end but the beginning etc etc. Not a hugely surprising twist, the thing with Gil was more interesting (if only slightly more). Motives and all are still a mystery for most characters but everything else was pretty straight forward.

I'm just kinda happy that despite the homoerotic overtone that alto as a character gets, he's not a wishy washy fag that draw this whole triangle throughout the entire series and actually went for Sheryl.

Poor Ranka, but I think Sheryl makes for a better pairing for the two.

PS: Surprise klan klan fanservice was the highlight of the episode though...

Last episode of Druaga was pretty good. It's the first time I felt the plot was going somewhere, or at least, somewhere that made me care. I'm glad I watched the show, I just wish the climbing part (ep ~3-9) would have been done differently.


I watched up to episode 23 of Negima!?, and I wish I could say the plot and character developments got better, but it was horrible all the way through. There was a few nice scenes here and there, but that's about it. Unexpectedly, the 2 mascots ended up being my favorite part of the show, their comments made me laugh pretty often. I thought they were out of place at first, but once you realize there is no plot, they become more entertaining. The randomness of many scenes was great as well, especially the scenes with Maki. If I had to give this show a score, I would give it 10/10 for artistic direction, and 0/10 for the plot. They should have sticked to a school comedy with pretty animation instead of failling at giving us a plot or decent characters...but again, I supose that's why we have Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei now.
