If I remember correctly, it was around 150 (not exactly sure, I deleted it). The manga is close to 300 right now.

18 pages for most of them too, not 10....I think.

I've read through most the chapters on onemanga.com, almost all are 10 page chapters. Theres no way they could fit 150 20page chapters in 52 episodes, without compression.

I just checked, and you're right, most chapter had 10 pages only. Two of the three chapters I had on my pc had 17-20 pages tho. That's why I said 20 in my last post, sorry. >_>

Anyway, many less importants chapter were skipped. Some of the one covering minor character were kinda bad.

I just read the last 30 chapters on onemanga after this discussion. The twist with Karasuma in chapters 257+ were decent. I always liked his character, and seeing him get more screen time was a nice change. Those chapters were better than 3/4 of the stuff between 150 and 250 imo...those were kinda bad. Seriously, School Rumble is one of the rare case where the anime is better than manga, even if there is annoying fillers. The art was better, the joke were often executed better and the whole story was presented in a way that was more believable.

Gonna put the rest in spoilers just in case, but meh, nothing really changed

I think it's clear Tenma will end with Karasuma. No real surprise here, but it was nicely done. I was wrong however about Harima. Chapter 258 (and 276 to some extent) point toward Yakumo, but the last few chapters indicate a possible ending with Eri.

According to wiki, Yakumo rank first in polls, and Eri is close second. I still think he will end up with Yakumo for many reasons (yakumo's mind reading power, the way they communicate with animal..etc), but at this point, I really don't know anymore.

In the end, nothing really changed since season 2 ending. It was interesting, but the manga should have been half as long

Probably just drawn out (>.>) for money. How often does the manga get released? Weekly? I remember looking at a few pages ages ago and thinking the art quality was horrible.

The art quality IS pretty bad imo. Even when the author try hard, it's generally ugly.

The drawings want to be good but they can't lol. It's like the mangaka is trying to do two styles at once. I don't think such details belong when the eyes are so deformed...meh.

The style and quality is nice (just looked at it) but goddamn, I hate shoujo manga styles sometimes. It's good in anime, where characters are generally more distinguishable because of colour, but in manga it's pretty painful. I get the impression from the pages Kaylia posted that SR is trying pretty hard and I like that.

It doesn't help that the characters in Ouran are so incredibly typical (which isn't bad, I actually like them all) and the main character is hugely annoying. She wasn't so bad at first, then she got psychic and it pissed me off lol. No one can judge characters that well, and when they do for no reason (as in, they haven't done it before or there isn't an explanation or warning about it) what so ever.

I suppose Ouran just isn't for me, but it's often compared to SR which doesn't help cause I think SR is so much better lol.

Meh I don't really care how its drawn, the story in Ouran is so much better. It's shifted to more of romance than comedy lately but it's still hilarious, especially in animated form.

School Rumble manga sucks hard the last 100 chapters or so, its one of the few series I like better as anime than manga.

Of course, I follow about 30-40 different manga series, everything from Naruto/Bleach to Sekirei, to Ouran and Bitter Virgin. I read/watch pretty much everything but yaoi, so my tastes are a bit wierd

Sounds like all the same I'm watching, I like macross though still, the girls kinda nice in it (and the relating hentai to it all is pretty awsome!, like sherly in the bed... pic O_o)

Anyway need checkout Natsume Yuujinchou when I get home.

Birdy the mighty isn't too bad either, I foundout it had a super older ova series, so I guess the one out now is mainly a remake (Oh god it better have the naked girl bathtub scene O_o)
