I'm tempted to start reading the manga for Soul Eater, but it's one of the very few anime that I havnt yet, and I enjoy the music/animation and the fact I dont know whats going to happen..

Generally speaking in classic story telling, a character won't pay the price unless he sacrifice himself for a better cause, or if he changes completely and spend the rest of his life trying to make amend for his crime. Lelouch's objective was always vengeance, and he is just suffering the consequence of his actions. It's not quite like he is "paying the price".

And just recently, Lelouch ordered the execution of the "geass" kids and all the unarmed scientist. It won't help his cause either.


I didnt really mind her early, but yeah, her crazy ass need to die. I'm going to be pissed if Lelouch dies but not her.

Yeah, killing the Geass kids was a bit much. But those kids were probably going to turn out like Rolo, and the Geass is a very dangerous power to give to kids like that who seem to have no concept of right and wrong. While killing them might have been extreme it could have been for the best in the long run.

It'll be interesting to see how this ends, but no matter how it ends someone will be pissed.

Live-Action Cowboy Bebop Film in Development at Fox

Rights recently signed up by producer Erwin Stoff (Matrix, A Scanner Darkly)

The IFMagazine.com entertainment website reports that film producer Erwin Stoff (The Matrix, A Scanner Darkly) is developing a live-action adaptation of Sunrise's Cowboy Bebop multi-genre action anime series for Fox. Stoff told the website that the project is "in the really early stages" since the parties "just signed it the other day." Shinichiro Watanabe's original anime follows the motley crew of the spaceship Bebop as it travels throughout the solar system in search of the next job. Stoff promised "a real degree of faithfulness," and added, “When I met with them in Japan, one of the first things that I brought up was the experience that we had on A Scanner Darkly, and how hard we worked to remain faithful to Philip K. Dick, and that was our big concern here.”

The anime distributor Bandai Entertainment and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block released the original 1998 in the United States, and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the subsequent 2001 animated movie. The anime was also adapted into two separate manga series, and Tokyopop released both manga series in North America. A Bandai Entertainment representative was unable to publicly comment on this report.

Oh, those kids were bad for him, no doubt about it. Morally, I don't think anyone would approve it tho. It's not really the character's motive that are important in a story, but how his actions would be judge by our society.

I heard they are making a live-action Death Note movie as well, seems anime is getting popular enough to start funding a budget for a real movie, although I doubt it will be as good as the Japanese ones. : /

I agree, Cowboy Bebop was one of the first animes I've ever seen and its definately up there in my favorites list. : (

On a side note looks like Sept is OVA month. : p I hear they are making a Lucky Star OVA as well as a Shigofumi OVA.

I think the last Baccano OVA was also in Sept right?

That was already made, it was Japanese made too, not in the US. Unless there's supposed to be a US remake of it too...
