Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

So, after watching the Dark Knight the other day...

Did anybody feel deja vu on how the Joker does things vs how Lelouch does his surprise explosions? I mean, how does he prepare all the bombs ;o

He only needed the special remote detonator and the parallel between the two of them would be complete!

But Lulu didn't have one of his explosions fail to go off in certain spots like the Joker did with the hospital. That was pure gold. Lulu's always seem to work. D:

3rd season of nanoha sucked. mostly for the reasons kaylia listed. I didn't mind nanoha and fate (fayt?!) not getting much screen time, the new charactes were interesting enough (purely for how they fought, otherwise huge walking cliches) and that wasn't all bad. Just crap pacing (who needs 10 or so episodes of training missions?) and crap art/animation killed it.

Also I love that gif of Suzaku getting beat down, next episode should be good. Looks like some mecha action at last.

New characters weren't horrible, and I liked the idea of a time jump, but it didnt feel like the main story was progressing. I think they tried to make the story much bigger than it should have been, instead of sticking to something more straigthforward like season 1 and 2.



Next Code Geass is going to be nice for sure. I've been waiting for this scene between Suzaku and Lelouch since Euphemia's death. Can't say I care much about the mecha action tho.

3rd one was bad because it was poorly directed (ton of fillers, low quality compared to the first two, and they gave way too much screen time to new characters). It could have been good if they put a little more effort in it.

The only thing that really annoys me is how they degraded Tamaki to a pure comic relief character. Well, that and how that stupid button in a knightmare cockpit does everything from taking off to firing weapons to detaching body pieces.

Nah, I agree. That's where I wanted to go with my last post, but I'm nitpicking the show way too much already.

Meh, I guess they needed those super-mecha to make certain characters like Karen look more powerful and useful, and give both side military advantage that would make a difference quickly.

I like that Sci-fi is playing anime again (unless they had been and I didn't know about it o.O), it's been a long time since I saw any on there. I might have to actually watch that channel again. >.>

They have had an Ani-Monday for a while now. Two episodes of Gurren Lagann a week started tonight along with another series I'm not too familiar with. Gundam 00 is coming I think in either October or November.

GL had a pretty good dub. I liked it. I didn't like the amount of commercials though, but eh. That's Sci-Fi for ya.

Wasn't bad at all, though Kamina's voice seemed kind of lackluster to me. And yeah the 3(?) commercial breaks were somewhat excessive.
