Hajime no Ippo Reportedly to Return to TV in January

First new anime in six years for long-running hit boxing manga
This year's 42nd issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine will reportedly announce that George Morikawa's Hajime no Ippo boxing manga will return to television in a new anime series in January of 2009.

It was alright..I really hated whenever Al would always go "Brother!!", just kind of seemed to pissed me off hearing it every damn episode. : p

Bebop had a great dub cast but if I was going to say the best dubbing I've ever heard it'd probably be Yu Yu Hakusho/DBZ at first place and Bebop/Inuyasha at second for me.

Champloo had a pretty good dub cast. I only saw the first few episodes in english and then the rest in japanese. : x

Yeah DBZ was the only anime I guess if it was an anime I would want to skip watching in Japanese and only see it in English. Same goes for Yu Yu since they had the same cast working at Funimation.

I actually tried watching both in Japanese and I couldn't stand their voices more than one episode, which was pretty shocking for me since I normally loathe the dubbed version. : p

I recently put my location up because I saw someone else here lives in the central valley but ya been living here in Modesto for like 15 years.

Andddddddddddddddd how you can hate the voice cast for Full Metal, they still seem perfect for the roles.

I just got done reading it, wasn't really expecting that. >.>

Kinda glad these are monthly though, the artwork is just so much better in monthly manga than the weekly ones that I read. The waiting kinda sucks, but oh well, it is definitely worth the wait.

I know I am kinda late to finishing this series, but I just finished The Tower of Druaga..... That was like the biggest cliffhanger ending I have ever seen, making people wait almost a year to finish that story is so messed up. >.<

Said it on the last page, but yeah I cant wait for Jan. I just hope they can get most of the original voice actors, that and it'll be interesting with the improved animation quality.

According to it's wiki page, 51 episodes. With the manga already getting close to 60 chapters (the anime has been following the manga almost 1 chapter = 1 episode), they will have to change the story in some way, which is going to be annoying.

maybe 2nd season? I doubt they will end it with only 50 episodes if it draws more viewers..
