by the time the anime catches up to chapter 50 of the manga i'd think they would have enough. especially since theyve already thrown in 2 filler episodes. I'm sure they'll throw in more.

It would definitely take at least half a year of manga to make 1 season of the anime, but as long as it is done eventually, I don't mind.

edit: The first Excalibur episode was actually in the manga, so, it wasn't really filler.

There was an excalibur episode in the early parts, and then one in the teens. The second Excalibur episode was filler, the first happened in the manga, yeah.

Okay, so you know when Brera..however it's spelled... shoots Alto's wing and Alto flies seemingly behind that ship wreckage? I think he ejects there, and then after Klan Klan distracts Brera a bit, we see his plane again come outta no where. At first, I thought it could be him, but I'm thinking it's actually his plane on autopilot. Notice how it seems to fly straight at Brera? We know he's not that stupid. That and the obvious anime note of not seeing Alto's face before the explosion. That's what I think happened right there.

That's not really a new song. They played it before in one of the previous episodes, and it was also one of the original Macross songs.
