they teased us by letting us think Lelouch didn't actually die, they failed because Nunnally would have seen that plot right through. So I think he actually did die.

PS. I think Nunnally's lie detector is actually a geass that can see the truth. No way she could have known everything just like that ;o

I have to admit the ending is not really all that bad.
I mean, given where the series went before this episode I can't think of too many better ways to have ended it.

The gif above is probably fan-made but, they never showed CC's code at the end and it's possible she gave him her code during that two month period. I doubt it thou, since the series is over, and it's not like they can elaborate on it unless they're doing a movie or something.

There was nothing in the show that hinted she would immediately die if she lost her code, or that whatever they pacted would just come true magically, or even that the pacts meant anything at all. Charles took VVs code without fulfilling his side of the pact, and was going to take CCs code even thou they didn't have a pact at all. And VV obviously lost his code well before dying, it just made him become mortal. The nun probably just killed herself. It was hinted many times that CC's real wish was true love anyway.

both times, we saw codes transferred the person died for other reasons V.V. was mortally wounded from the siegfried crash, and with CC the nun had took her own life after she killed CC thus forcing the code on to her.

well, the ending as I'm expected, althought I wished I was false, but still

anyway, since episode 22 or 23, they have clearly show that what's the ending is gonna be.

Okay, for everyone dogging the ending lets be real, it was possibly the best route they could've taken at this point. I personally was moved by it but I also acknowledge the fact an assload of plot holes were left untouched.

To be honest, I never thought the Zero Requiem was this. Whole story aside, I think the ending was masterfully done considering what they dealt themselves.

The ending was awesome, totally made up for the last 5 or 6 episodes and totally redeemed the series for me. Only way they could of ended it without being totally gay.
