I liked the first episode. However JC Staff doesn't have a good track record with adaptations (other than Honey and Clover, I don't know one they did well) so I'm preparing for the worst...

The screenshots reminded me of Saint Seiya ;o Which interests me but I haven't watched it yet.

She had to make it sound a little different than Shana/Nagi/Louise, plus, Taiga is much more mean than those three She gets better later on though!

It's about a fearsome looking guy and a china doll looking girl who like each others best friends. They end up finding out about each other's crush and decide to help each other out.

I've only read up to volume 4 of the light novels, and the 10 or 11 chapters of the manga (which follows the novels very closely), but it gets pretty good.

True, but the first episode of ToraDora is pretty much spot on of the first three chapters of novel 1. Theres a pretty good climax they could end the season on at 12 episodes and do another season later - hopefully they don't take too many liberties for endings.

Though they are kind of forced to end Shana like they did each season because the novels don't really have good end points and they have to come up with some way to end each season.

I dunno how ToraDora will end, the novels are up to 8 and still ongoing in Japan, but you do get that vibe later on :D
