Actually, I think there's more to it than just ratings. D.Grayman didn't do that bad at ratings anyway, it's very comparable to what Soul Eater is getting.

Yeah but D.Grayman was a weekly shounen show, comparable to the big 3, can't compare it to a 4-cour show like Soul Eater.

And One Piece (rightly so) kicks ass at the ratings. They make that anime so well, I've never even cared to read the manga because they move at a good pace and it's very enjoyable. I got into the Naruto/Bleach mangas because of bullshit staring contests and filler.

I watched the first few episodes of Gintama and it wasn't that great to me, does it get better after a bit or will I just not like it most likely?

Yeah, seems like giant robots is usually where anime's at these days. Never really got into Gundam, but maybe I'll give 00 a try once this season's been going a bit longer. I know I've also liked sci-fi stuff like Ghost in the Shell or Outlaw Star. Total opposites, I know, but they both have their strengths.

Well, that was the plan. I got into Geass late and went through the first season before getting like 4 episodes into season two and then catching up. Guess I'm just looking for a good marathon session to kill an afternoon or two.

Finished downloading what was suggested to me earlier, but haven't had the chance to watch an episode yet.

seed/destiny were one of the most terrible gundam series overall. seed alone was tollerable, but destiny was almost the same exact story line as seed somehow. dunno where you could find em.



after watching the mifune/black star fight in the anime, I had to reread their last fight in the manga, and I realized I forgot that that fight has yet to end. I hope they show it soon D: and that the anime is going to last that long cause I want to see it animated too...
