Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

I doubt it'd develop into the OP kind of setting, but as far as I've read in manga, the focus of the series is her converting fanboyism into faith for her to regain her power as a goddess.

I was hoping the opening of the show was just a joke or something with all the characters in it....but as it goes on, it really seems like it might lead to that. If so, I'm not really sure if this is an anime I can watch to the end.

I haven't seen the newest Toradora yet, been pretty funny so far though.

Yeah, I was thinking the same about the intro earlier. I will finish the series for sure (20min per week for a few laughs isn't a bad deal), but I'm really disapointed with the direction of the story [so far..never too late to change]. Anyway, enough ranting for now...it's the 4th time I whine about this in this thread in less than a week..


Toradora can be funny, but it's the serious scenes I enjoy the most so far. The only thing I ask when I watch an anime is solid interaction between the characters, and it's done flawlessly here imo. The absence of fanservice get bonus points as well. After 5 episodes, they didn't resort to [ecchi] fanservice at all to sell their characters...I can't remember when something like this happened for the last time.

I love Kannagi. It's definitely one of my favorite shows this season. The setting doesn't bother me - I thought it's pretty refreshing and interesting.

The comedy factor in the show is great too - very slice of life, and full of laughs.

Gundam, Clannad, Soul Eater are the only ones I'm watching, I just finished Moetan. Yeah I guess not that many since D.Gray-man has finished. : (

The part with Nagi and the Hageshima-sensei had me rolling, it was done so well. The part at the end with Zange was funny as well. The reactions to certain things are done so well!

You really over-exaggerate. It wasn't that bad but I do admit some episodes were just plain stupid while others were actually pretty funny.

Also I had no idea what the video was about octopus, but I always love learning funny phrases in Japanese. : D

So far I've watched:
Gundam Wing/Seed/Destiny/00, Death Note, Gurren Lagann, Blood+, Code Geass, Dragonauts, and Macross Frontier. I enjoyed all of these a lot (for the most part) but I can't find anything else I'd be interested in based on what I've already watched D:

Currently watching: Gundam 00 s2, To Aru Majutsu no Index, and I'm probably going to pick up Toradora soon. Any suggestions for good stuff that are similar to the ones I've already watched?
