So, I started watching Kanon (I know it is old, but I forgot about it. >.<) and I am noticing the company that makes this anime has a lot of similar characters in their animes. >.> Especially the main character that sounds and looks almost exactly like the main character from Clannad.

Yeah, Air and Haruhi also have similar characters. I liked the MC from Kanon because he went through some nice changes towards the end.

i had a few problems with vlc and subs, just x out of it and reopen whatever you want to watch or scroll back to the very beginning of the ep, usually fixed it for me.

I was kinda disappointed at the whole Ali/Setsuna/Marina scene. I haven't had a chance to watch the episode with subs, but while watching it RAW (and not knowing Japanese) it seemed like Setsuna just showed back up at base all, "oh hey Tieria, how's it going? Just ran into my arch enemy or whatever, he's ok." With no real explaination of why Ali didn't blow their little cruiser out of the sky.

I don't even remember Kanon's main character. I guess he wasnt really memorable for me. Doesn't mean he was bad, but I rarely get attached to main characters in this kind of animes.


Spent the whole night yesterday watching/reading Negima stuff (Negima!? 24-25, first episode of the OVA and first 6 volume of the manga). Manga is really...ewww. The amount of fanservice is killing it for me...I prefered the first season over it, even if everyone say it's a shitty adaptation.

The ending of Negima!? was on par with the rest of the series...pretty color, nice music, a few jokes, but horrible story. OVA was about the same too..they could have picked a better chapter instead of this waste of time.

The only girl I liked was Ayu, and it was probably because of her backstory. I didn't hate the rest of cast (all of them had a decent backstory), but meh, I just don't enjoy this kind of anime as much as most people.

I hated Ayu ;o Nayuki and Makoto were alright. Liked Mai and loved Shiori/Sayuri.

Kanon, imo, was just okay. I didn't get into it as much as Air and Clannad.

I loved Air. Was short and sad, and had an amazing intro theme. I'm not done with Clannad yet (on episode 5)

Hrm. I dunno, Kay. I didn't really get into Negima til the Festival arc; did you get there yet? Once that happens, they really get into the swing of things and it gets better. Though the most recent issues of the manga have been really....really....slow. Not quite BLEACH slow, haha, no, but still slow.

I would assume Ali didn't see the cruiser at all, and they just bolted out of there, but you would think Ali would have seen them on radar or something. Probably just bad writing.

Him psychically hearing setsunas question, and answering it (to himself) was kinda dumb. I know it's just intended for the viewer, but I really hate when they do that in these mech shows. You can never tell when pilots are actually communicating with each other, or just having super coincidental monologues. It's like reading garfield.

Akamatsu is a prime example that all you need to do is be able to draw tits to succeed at the manga/anime business.

Every single time i thought a concept/scene/character/development/area/lore is interesting in negima, he tends to ruin it with fanservice the next page.

I enjoyed the first season for what it was. Like I said in my last post, it's the fanservice that is killing it for me in the manga. Everything is an excuse to show them naked, and I find this annoying.

Gotta give him credit for drawing a manga with 31 (and more as it progress) female characters. He didn't do an half-assed job on boobies.
