Agreed. I don't think the Innovators are stupid enough to plow into a fight without a way to escape. Their modified GN-X's/Gadessa's give them that ability to make a quick getaway and regroup.

Also, an interesting thing to note. It turns out Hilling (Yes, it's spelled that way) Care is indeed a female. You can see her bust through the space uniform, and the website confirms it. So I suppose that means the Innovators are split up among genders and not all the same after all.

As far as this episode, I personally thought it was amazing.

It was rather beautiful really. The effects used, the amazing animation, and Sumeragi's plan in general was just brilliant.

As far as "death to main bad guys" goes, I don't really mind it completely. I mean.. this isn't Evangelion or anything. We don't need mass death in the show to make it mean something. This also isn't Geass, lol.

Bad guys are usually given about 3-4 episodes, at least, before they are killed off, so there might be a few deaths coming up soon. They certainly can't leave them all for the finale.

And I haven't seen any subs yet, but that guy who shows up after the credits to talk to Smirnov seems like Gundam series' traditional, "enemy captain with a personality that troubles the ship for 4 episodes or so then asplodes."

It really hurt the tension when people start surviving for stupid reason. If you don't want them to die, don't make them fight, or at least make it look like a realistic withdrawal.

I watch the shit live-stream, and then d/l the RAW, then d/l the Shinsen sub, then d/l the Menclave subs for archiving purposes.

Should have stopped here. Different situations for different series. You don't have to kill off a bad guy to make an impact. What does killing off a bad guy act as for the good guys? Also, Gundam and other mecha series aren't exactly realistic anyway, so why stick to complete realism? Series try to add realism, but the only realistic thing about series like that are the emotions of the people in the stories.

You've got the Geass extreme where they kill people too easily, but here, they stay alive way too long.

It's like they did nothing for the first half of the series, then at the second half of the series they just looked through a list and thought "oh fuck, these assholes are still alive?" and just start working down on it without putting much thoughts into it.

They don't have to kill them off, but if they constantly lose and survive, it's just a lame plot device. You should never have a fight that doesn't make the characters or story progress. It's not a question of realism, it's a question of repeating the same scenario until the viewer stop caring.

It was a big issue for me in previous gundam series, and the way it was worded make me think it's the same here.

great episode of 00 was on the edge of my seat most of the time which is pretty rare for me and anime series. I kinda died a little bit when they introduced a character named Hercules though.
was "Hercules" walk in appearance the end of the episode? usually they show the very end of the end theme with the little girly singy hum thing (with the pic of the clouds with a big circle opening in the middle) and then theres a minute or 2 of more episode after that. but this time it just cut out after that. wasn't sure If the file I had, the subbers cut that out somehow.

I hope it's not as bad as Destiny . Seed was weak, but watchable. Destiny was just ridiculous. Anyway, I'm not really worried about the quality of the show here, pretty sure it will be awesome considering how popular it is.

I just hope they don't ridiculize death like they did in previous series.

Nah, Gundam 00 is definitely a good series. Those are just minor annoyances.

I loved the earlier Marie arc. Didn't like the Saji/Louise -> Memento Mori arc as much but it's not bad.

00 was great this week, certainly had a few OSHIT moments because of how awesome it was.

Kannagi also ended, which makes me sad cause there NEEDS to be more. It'll be a crime to waste such good characters. Tsugumi's reaction at the end of the episode was what I loved about the series in the first place, although the last few serious episodes were nice.

edit: That was definitely not the ending I was expecting. >.> It was a perfect ending for this season, I am still hoping they make more seasons though.
