The rest of the time, it's either tastefully done, fucking hillarious, or appropriate for the scene, in any case, it's enough for me to let it go without exposing it to contempt.

In other news, they need to make an anime of Yotsubato. That manga was awesome, and I enjoyed it more than Ichigo.

Mangaka said it would probably never happen, it wouldn't really adapt well to anime - and he's right, alot of the multi panel jokes with no dialogue would just not work animated.

They could still make a 6-12 episodes series with it. I'm sure a good director could make it works.

As for the age thing... eh characters could be any age, and look young.. unless they say the characters young. or its just obvious... like the one with the girl ontop the donald duck "ride" drawn out.. . now that was.. funny/disturbing... loli pic... O_o

Look alone doesn't mean much, but when look and personality match, it can be disturbing.

My definition of fanservice is probably broader than your. I generally include everything that involve aesthetic of the characters (design, clothes), how they are posing to the camera...etc. It doesn't always have to be something obvious, I would go as far as call "moe" stuff fanservice. I agree the show was innocent in overall, but it could have been even more innocent imo.

Yeah, that's also true. Although somethings can be defined as fanservice as well as being funny, or be mistaken for fanservice when it's really comedy. In general, the show was innocent enough, Mui was a troublemaker and generally the defiler of innocence that all the other girls had, which makes it funny.

And yes, they need to make an anime of Yotsubato. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard before.

Also, the Kannagi thing is just plain sad and is generally why I think ecchi is stupid.

Are panty really a big deal when you see her naked in the last episode? Everything Zange is doing is probably more ecchi than this shot too.
