Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

Well Zero was his first work, I probably like Aflame Inferno and Freezing the most character/story wise of all the ones I have read. Freezing is slow to scanlate though because of the amount of editing that has to be done on each page.

Aflame Inferno is somewhat decent, but I was really dissapointed on how weak the tedlar hunters ended up being.

That and Gehenna is waaay overpowered, but I'm not complaining.

Still though, the series could do with a lot less fanservice.

I complained a lot during season 1, and will probably keep doing so, but the show was watchable I guess.

No clue why people loved it so much. It's something I would have enjoyed 10 years ago when I started watching anime, but beside a few scenes here and there, I don't have many good thing to say about it.

Just watched Toradora, and sadly, I don't think it was the best episode. Some scenes were pretty good like always, (I loved the picture scenes and the one with Amy the most) but the whole thing seemed forced a bit. Maybe my expectation were just too high eh. I love this show too much.


No clue how many people keep up with Negima manga here, but last chapter cracked me up. Rakan is awesome...(sometime).

Tower of Druaga has some undeniable charm to it. It's not great by any standard but it sure as hell is fun to watch. It's based on these RPG cliches that we all know and love (or hate) and the animation is good as well.

Yeah, watched ep1 of season 2 already. Pretty nice stuff.

Awesome episode to reintroduce all the characters. The character at the start with red hair looks...vaguely familiar. Hrm.

As far as the rest goes.. it's nice to see what our heroes have been up to over the last six months. Some new characters introduced (without being introduced by name) here too, and some old faces as well. I liked Kai (who looks a lot like Kaaya). She's cute, and lol @ Armorless Utu!

The Fatina/Jil dynamic seems nice, and is actually sort of cute. Makes me wonder now. There was a time in Season 1 where it seemed like maybe Fatina had underlying feelings for Jil, but was too taken with Neeba. Now it seems Fatina's let her feelings out somewhat about Jil as seen in the "Wrestling Arena" scene. If anything is based on the opening though, we may have a Jil/Kaaya "destined to be together" sort of ending.

Either way, we'll see. I certainly can't wait for the next episode. Seems our climbers are going to get the gang back together. Wonder how Fatina will handle it... a lot of her bad memories stem from this exact thing. The betrayal, the loss of a friend, and watching another friend get betrayed too.

I always had the impression Jil liked Fatina before Kaaya entered the picture and that Fatina liked Jil in some way (but it was pretty one sided). I doubt it'll end so squarely like that, I see Kai being the person to rekindly painful memories for Jil. Also, needs some Coopa! I like Kai, but Coopa was awesome.

I never watched the full season of Druaga (only saw the 2 funny eps when ppl told me about it) but I'm going to follow the second season I guess... first ep was pretty good.

I really really liked Tower of Druaga. It was kinda confusing at times because some episodes would be chalk full of humor and then in the next episode I would be expecting to laugh and it would be super serious lol. not that that's a bad thing

also, did gundam take a week off?

I'd say in this case it's most likely crucial that you watch the last 3 episodes, otherwise you might not understand a lot from what I remember. : p

Watch the whole thing, it's entertaining enough to keep you going and some of the episodes are really funny (Roopa dance etc).

I watched the first ep of the first season and the episode where the characters went through a bunch of traps and had to get a door to laugh to go through.

I'll probably download the last few eps so I can follow better, but I think I kind of understand the situation from the second season's first ep (at least the part about the betrayal).
