I finished Clannad and i loved it but i have 2 questions

1) without telling me punches is Clannad After story as good as clannad?

2) i seen there's a clannad movie, can i watch it before after story or should i wait?

Yeah, Clannad After Story is just as good, obviously because it's the continuation. You can watch the Clannad movie, but personally I wouldn't.

After Story is better, but in a different way.

Unwatch the Clannad movie, not done by the same studio, plus they half assed the ending.

Well i read the stuff on wiki about the game, and it's sad that Ushio and Nagisa will die, my 2 favorite character was Fuko and Nagisa and both dies or dissapear, which kinda make me wanna stop the anime now

After Story anime will most likely have the bad ending, but with the amount of episodes left, it will also have the happy/true ending that comes after. Must watch.

I might be a little late but Toradora 16 was simply brilliant. I didn't think it'd turn out to be such a dramatic show but I'd recommend for anyone who hasn't watched it yet to pick it up if you enjoy a good drama anime.

Oh and I just saw the first episode of Rideback, looks interesting as well. I just hope the idea stays fresh and it doesn't get old or the story starts to getting boring after a few episodes. I'm not sure why but it gives me an "Air Gear" vibe which is why I'm afraid it'll get old after a while. : p

Edit: Oh man I just watched Clannad 15. Although I read it has nothing to do with the movie ending I can't help but feel it's going to end in a similar way. : (

well by reading the wiki on it, it does talk alot about the girl we see in some of clannad intro so i guess the true ending is possible for the anime.

I say strange cuz of the "distant World" while clannad seemed more like a RL normal story (exept fuko part but fuko rules)

This is how After Story can end, and how I think they will end the anime, which the amount of episodes left.

The bad ending is where Nagisa dies during birth, Tomoya goes emo/depressed for a few years, meets up with Ushio later on and decides to become part of her life again, then she develops the same sickness as Nagisa and dies, and Tomoya falls unconscious and dies holding her in his arms. That's what happens if you didn't collect any of the light orbs.

If you did collect them all (by helping all the other characters, which Tomoya has been doing all series long, even in the first one) you get to the same point as the bad ending, except when Tomoya goes unconscious he goes to the Imaginary World and the events we have seen playing out at the beginning of some of the episodes happen (He is the junk doll and Ushio is the girl), if you collected all the orbs they are able to make a vehicle to leave the imaginary world and it transports Tomoya back to when Nagisa was birthing Ushio but a miracle happens and she lives. Happily Ever After.

Nagisa will probably die next episode, Tomoya will go into depression/ignore Ushio for a few episodes/years, they will reunite after Tomoya talks to his grandmother about how his Dad went through the same thing (remember his mom died when Tomoya was a child too), Ushio gets sick and dies too, but since Tomoya has been collecting orbs for the last 40 episodes (Helping Fuuko with her starfish, Kotomi, Sunohara siblings, dorm lady and cat, Yukine and her gangster brother, etc) insert Happy End.

It will be a depressing ride though, really sad up till the ending.

Key and KyoAni always make such realistic anime, but insert a bit of mysticism to throw you off.

"That's what happens if you didn't collect any of the light orbs." - if you didn't collect enough light orbs, you don't even get the option to go to After Story.

You have to get the main routes complete to enter After Story, and when you get them all, you'd get the true ending.
