Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

Going to spoiler tag this, since these are story spoilers from the manga, but I don't think the Soul Eater anime is following the story of the manga anymore, or is changing some events.

I thought things felt somewhat out of place over the past few episodes, so I checked the chapter descriptions on the wiki page and found out that Joe Buttataki should have found the snake in Marie's body, and was killed off already at the point the anime is at currently. I have no idea why they would change something like that, and am curious if they are just changing the order of certain events for story reasons? Who knows, I guess I will know for sure in the next few weeks. I just hope they don't change the story to end the series at the 51st episode where the anime is supposedly "ending."

They are, the anime has been nothing like the manga for last 3 episodes. The manga is ongoing, so there is going to be an anime original ending - thought that was obvious that it would happen even when they started Soul Eater.

It seemed like it was following the manga exactly for so long, and I guess I just hadn't remembered everything that happened in the manga exactly. Oh well, even if it ends weird, I still have the manga at least.

So sad, touching, endearing, bittersweet, and awesome in one. No real combat or anything, but just the way things wrap up... especially the ending <3 I loved it. I loved Xam'd to death.

Apparently Toradora novels are ending at the same time as the anime, so.... I wonder if we will get the same ending...

Nakiami will be gone for like.. 1000 years. =[ It's sad. That's what makes the finale so bittersweet. We got happy endings like with the Captain, the crew, Akiyuki and Haru's family, and Akiyuki and Haru themselves, of course. Then we got the sad part with Yango being alone like that, Nakiami being gone, the Captain being super sad...

Overall, I absolutely loved Episode 26 and all of Xam'd. D:

Where you hear that? 9th novel set it up so 10 could be the last one, but I don't think 10 is out yet.

the prologue episode 00 is supposed to ship in April before the 2nd season too

I trust BSS will be bringing their fine work to Spice and Wolf again :D

I found it funny that no one in Xam'd showed signs of aging in 9 years.

Except they did. It's not like Haru would have changed that much. She just looked a lot more like her Mom did. Though I do agree about Akiyuki's parents, lol. They didn't look a day older than what they were, and only had minor changes to them. D: I suppose it's tough to show the difference in age in 9 years based on where their characters already were.

Also, don't forget about Yunbo's kid, Hinokimaru (the one who looks like Raigyo at the end), and her somewhat adopted child in Kobako (the one that was on the Rider like Nakiami was to start). They were shown to be older, and what not. Also, Ahm and Yunbo are having a kid of their own, which is awesome. Then again, it's probably hard to remember the names of the "other" characters, D:

Watched xam 26. It was definitely very good, but it annoyed me a bit that there was no explanation how Akiyuki was able to live at the end...
