I do like Tony Taka for making Clannad characters fappable though, fuck key and their artstyle.

Anyone here watched The girl who leapt through time? I just did and damn, it was a beautiful movie. It's definitively my new favorite anime movie.

My only complain is the ending, but beside this, I thought it was perfect. Great characters, great animations, and interesting story.

"The place promised in our early day!, and !5 cm per second! were both good and beautiful imo, but The girl who leapt through time was the best. I got attached to the character a lot more easily in this one than I did in other (might just be the boobies factor tho, other 2 main character were guys).

Strangely enough, yes. Though I get the impression that Best Buy isn't liquidating their Anime section because a lot of people choose to do so.

Well to be fair, the whole anime DVD sales in the states is just doomed to failure due to the overall shit quality of dubs, and the fact that by the time 1 volume of DVD is released here, the japanese DVD release would have the entire series floating on torrents with same quality subs if not even better.

You're essentially catering to morons who can't get anime off interweb (which become easier and easier), people who'd watch dubs, and moralfags.

While I don't think that the industry has done everything right regarding anime distribution n' all...when it comes down to it, people aren't generally producing the shows out of the goodness of their hearts. By actually buying things (occasionally >.>; ) it shows both an appreciation for the medium/product, and also returns money to the creators and those that brought it stateside. Encourages 'em to continue.

If they see the potential for making better money by improving their service, then they will. It's just business. If everyone simply laughs at spending money on anime (or whatever), then they obviously won't see much of a market to build on.

Part of the reason they can get away with charging what they do n' all is because it's a niche product.
