Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

I probably should have elaborated more, BS (fitting...) talks big and most of the time he can back it up. There are only a few times when he talks shit but isn't actually stronger than his opponent. I think you could keep watching and see, BS has a lot of good, meaningful moments with Tsubaki and the two share a good relationship.

The show is comedy based, well I feel like the manga is, the anime is a bit more serious when it comes to fighting/encounters so by the end it's all good. There are a lot of good fights, some are good, some are bad, some aren't even really fights while others are fucking awesome. Depends on how far you watch. If the characters annoy you that much, I suggest you stop watching, because for the most part there isn't any grand personality changes/evolution even if the relationships get stronger.

For me, if any of them annoyed me, I would've stopped watching, but all of them are fun to watch.

Episode 4 was pretty good. When it jumps between the characters it's a lot easier to deal with. Can't wait for Resonance of Souls to actually work, heh.

As for Trigun, I'd love a remake, especially if they followed into Trigun Maximum, I don't know about TM, but it's supposed to be a continuation iirc. Trigun was my first anime, so there's definitely nostalgia there, but it is the reason I enjoy so much anime today so it was good too. I used to consider anime the same as cartoons, useless once you've matured, Trigun fixed that for me, lol.

erm, pardon the heresy but can someone give me a reason to continue watching trigun? he's already met blackwood or w/e the priest's name is and I think he finally actually used a bullet (gdi I hate spiderman types that won't kill)

probably the horrible dubs/english voices threw me off, and older style animation generally bothers me

It's mostly a nostalgia factor. When you were a kid there wasn't much else anime to watch but I guess you have a certain appreciation for those types of animes.

I actually liked Vash's character. It is a cliche'd one but you got to remember he was raised that way by his mother. The ending starts to really get good. Though it does have its random moments and the animation as you say isn't as great as it is today, I personally still think it was a great show.

You might not like the whole gun-fighting theme that the show also portrays. Other examples of this are Cowboy Bebop, Gungrave, Darker than Black, etc.

Edit: I forgot to ask, has anyone had problems using TT recently? Every time I open up the webpage it just stays blank for me..

Gundam Unicorn Anime Due

Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Gundam Ace has finally confirmed that Harutoshi Fukui’s Universal Century novel, Kidou Senshi Gundam Unicorn, will be animated this winter.

This series marks the return to the original Gundam UC timeline and is set in the year UC0096, three years after Char’s Counterattack.

The anime will be headed up by Furuhashi Kazuhiro, whilst the original gundam designs for the novel by Yoshizaku Yasuhiko will be adapted for the series by designer Kumiko Takahashi.

Other mecha will be designed by Yoshinori Sayama and Nobuhiko Genba, and will be based upon Okawara Kunio’s design in the first Gundam series. Senior Sunrise advisor Shinya Ogura will oversee the project.

With the announcement of the Gundam 00 movie slated for 2010, and rumours that Gundam Seed will also grace the silver screen, Gundam fans now appear to have one of their best years ever, to say nothing of Bandai, as fans will obligingly snap up the accompanying merchandising and plamo too.

Another amazing Eden of the East episode. Loving Akira and Saki.. but overall, I'm loving this entire series to bits.

K-On! was probably the best one yet. I'm loving this anime more and more. Still hoping they have some more actual music at some point, it's really looking like it as Yui is now not just a genius of hard work but a genius of the guitar, lol. I wish they had stayed at training camp some more and shown them playing a bit, but oh well.

Because of the title of the second movie our guess was they simply want it to be Gur(r)en/Lagan and not the meaning of the words.

Eden of the East 3 was amaaaazing, yet again. This show continues to live up to my hopes. Can't wait for K-On now after Eaglestrikes tidbit on it! Boo to work.
