I lied. Just watched the OVA and it was good. Not much story in it, but very enjoyable. I'm guessing the OVA was done by the team making season 2 as it looked a little bit different. But I think I'll be enjoying season 2 as much as season 1 with how the OVA went.

K-On was great, I guess the laughs made up for the lack of music. Next week might be more music orientated, but I'm not hopeful.

Valkyria was alright for filler, though I'm getting the impression that they want Alicia to be tsundere when she isn't.

Basically it's a satirical take on the entire history of the world, with all the country of the world personified.

Well watched Dragon ball 5 and Spice and wolf Ova II today

Dragon ball i love the fact like they said that they rush a little more the story, the Training that gohan was doing, and the snakeroad arc was TOO BORING in the original anime. Episode 6 and goku is already at kaio.

As for Spice and wolf, i hope they don't turn this in a love story between Horo and the shepherd girl. Gonna be annoying ..... (and i though they seperated with the shepherd girl at the last episode) unless they made the OVA for fun and won't have much link with season II

I think the OVA was made for fun. Though I think some parts of it may be about s2. For instance Horo's dream/thoughts about seeing Lawrence turn into a pile of bones, I can see that being a theme for a lot of the season seeing how she's immortal and he's a mere human.

Akagi is way better series wise than Kaiji.
I think people got put off a bit by "Mahjong" descriptions .

The OVA is from a latter volume of the series, I think it's like the 7th volume or so, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be directly after the last season's ending like the OVA suggested(which was volume 2) or if Lawrence and Horo met Nora again later in the story.

I'm 99% sure that s2 shouldn't have Nora in it though, unless they decide to fuck around with characters again (Like how they added Chloe into the anime to take some schmuck's role from the first volume, etc)

If I remember Kaiji correctly, that movie is going to have some pretty disturbing "live action" scenes. : p

Finals are finally over...I was able to catch up on a bunch of stuff


Spice and Wolf: It took me a few minutes to get in in this episode because the shitty animation was bothering me, but once I got over it, I enjoyed it as much as season 1. Horo and lawrence are great...I love them.

East of Eden: Amazing episode again...I love how they introduce the plot, it's really well done. Waiting for this anime is starting to get painful.

Hayate: I thought it was a nice episode. Kinda glad they introduced another male character, because lately, it felt too much like an harem.

K-on: It's not unwatchable, but I think it's slightly overhyped. Oh well, it does get a few smiles out of me every episodes, so w/e. The ending song is nice too.


Valkyria: Loved it again. I wish I could unsee Kana whenever she speaks, but I'm enjoying every bits of this anime so far.

Yeah, it kinda pissed me off how the animation for Spice and Wolf stayed, I was expecting Higurashi Kai style of artwork change when they announced that a new studio was doing it.

But what can you do? I'm just glad to see Horo again.

It's not like this show need a super awesome animation, but I was still hoping for an upgrade over season 1. Brain's base did kurenai and Baccano, and both had awesome artstyle imo..kinda a letdown to see this.

But yeah...like you said, I'm glad to see the best (worst?) tease in action again. Horo really is my favorite female lead character.

I loved the art style in Kaiji, it was unconventional but that was refreshing to see and the animation wasn't bad at all. But yeah, I bet a lot of people are used to seeing the same old and won't give Kaiji a chance even though ZUWA ZUWA.

And K-On is definitely overhyped, but that doesn't make it bad... just slightly disappointing if you were expecting music. It's just like how Haruhi and Lucky Star are overhyped... KyoAni really knows how to pick 'em huh?

Spice and Wolf needed to drop some more merchant knowledge, but it was still excellent. Horo (why does BSS call her Holo?) is one of the few characters that I like despite being tsundere. I think it's cause she's naked a lot a plays with herself.

Horo is great because she her personality isnt 1 dimensional like most female character in anime. Its fun to see clever character occasionally. + she is hot.
