has anyone gotten into samurai 7? if so, is it worth watching?

I hear alot about Saki anime
How is it?
I love Saki, but it's not for everyone (because it is mahjong). It's kind of similar to Bamboo Blade, or even a little bit of Hikaru no Go, imo.
You don't really need to understand mahjong either, kind of like you don't have to know Kendo to enjoy Bamboo Blade.
Take Hikaru no Go, remove the good plot points, and replace everything with oh-so-cute anime girls and anime cliches.
For me, the series is right in the sweet spot of being the right mix of seriousness and ridiculousness to really, really suck. If it were totally serious, like Hikaru no Go, or Akagi, (well, not THAT serious) then I might enjoy it. If it were more over-the-top, like Yu-Gi-Oh!, or didn't take itself too seriously, it might be so bad its good. But its not. If the Mahjong cosplay transformation bullshit I see in the opening happens, I will be forced to kill someone.
mmm saki ecchi scenes...![]()
Does anyone know a good site that has alot of Anime streaming vids, good quality too? The last one i used got realy slow and shitty recently.
i used anime-media.com or anijunkie.com
Taking off merchant knowledge from spice and wolf is like taking out mechs from gundam.
The whole series is kinda based on that (with Horo being a complete cocktease and Lawrence being a complete KY retard too I guess) And really, without the merchant knowledge deal, the entire episode will just be about Horo cockteasing Lawrence and acting cute all the ti-...
You're right, it would be a much better series
I hated it. I thought it was ridiculous, and the plot made no sense (giant mecha and space ship stealing rice to poor villager...i mean..wtf...Not the best uses of your technology) . The way they killed people in the last episode was retarded as well.
The world was simply unbelievable, and the character were boring as hell for the most part. It's not the worst anime I watched, but for this genre, it ranks pretty low.
Sengoku Basara reminds me of that honestly, but not to the extremes of space mechas. The craziest thing so far is one of the characters riding on his horse... up a building... while standing up on top of the horse. Defying gravity much? Then again, you don't watch the series for seriousness or anything. Just general craziness and badassery.
If you watch sengoku basara seriously, you have issues.
I stopped caring about realism when I saw exhaust pipe attached to a fucking horse and the samurai were acting like some bike gang members speaking in broken engrish.
Hahaha. Yeah. I love that. But yeah.. I take this about as seriously as I did Code Geass.
Well i had to download saki (didn't watch it yet) after seeing the cast in it
Lelouch Kallen, Sakuya, Taiga, Hinagiku and Hayate are all in it lol
as for people saying why BBS calling Holo instead of Horo. i remember that the sub did the same in Code Geass.
At some episode they were naming her Karren and others Kallen (and i'm not talking bout her JP and britannia side).
Haha yeah. I remember that whole Kalen issue as well.
sorry meant BBS cuz they are the one who subbed Spice and wolf II OVA that people were commenting about
lol
gg did geass, bss never touched it
The only connection between the two is that they did gundam 00 s2 together.
