K-On finale was nice also. Downloading Eden right now and I expect an epic ending for the season. :D

Eden of the East: Episode 11

Some observations:

• During the opening with all the Selecao numbers displayed, three vanish in this order: IV, V, X. IV and V match the story so far in episodes 3 and 4 respectively. However, it seems X lives through episode 11… (my rc comment post)

  If you look closely around 1:39 (I think) into the episode, you can see the side of the taxi that the old man is driving. It says “Ato Taxi,” possibly implying the driver is either Mr. Outside, Selecao #12, or something similar.

I looked pretty complex. I got the jist of it (line 4 pairs/1 set and have a dragon tile I think for Mahjong) but some of the combos they list are just nuts for me to try and memorize. I tried finding rules and stuff but to me it seems like the type of game you get better at by just playing it.

Also every time I see Richi I can hear Yuki yelling it in my mind. xD Is it a mistake to go for Chi's and Pon's all the time also? I usually tried holding out for tsumo's and stuff but I usually never get anything the rounds come out as draws.

Back on Eden. It wasn't a great "ending" but then again I don't think it was meant to be an ending. Knowing when we will probably get the movies, I think I'll have to re-watch the series to refresh my memory. : p

Edit: Just played a game online and I got my ass kicked. I came in third only beating the other guy by 300.

At least the Haruhi episode itself was pretty decent. It looks like they restablized the character design back to where it should be for the series, and the pacing was good.

I can't bring myself to watch Eden (I couldn't bring myself to watch last episode either) not because I don't think it'll be awesome, but I don't want to hit that cliffhanger. I'd rather just rewatch it when the movies come out, sheesh.

K-On has continued being lackluster if vaguely entertaining. I simply cannot fathom the attention it's getting. It's not terrible, it's worth a watch, but it's not like it's a classic for the ages. Hell, it's not even as good as lucky star, at least that was funny. The music's alright, though.

I'm hopping in my seat waiting for Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, though. I don't know why, but this wonderfully bizarre and creepy series has really grown on me. Glad to see it getting another season. And while we're on the subject of upcoming creepy series, didn't the latest episode of Higurashi/Dice-killing Chapter come out? The last one took forever to find subbed, here's hoping. Daybreak, the last chapter, isn't out til August anyways, I suppose.

Oh wow, I didn't even know they were making another season of SZS, that anime is hilarious. Definitely one of my favorite comedies.

Just watched higurashi rei #2 and #3, and damn, I love that show. First ova was a big turn off, but this new story was awesome (well, anything involving rika after the 2nd season is awesome)

Same here. It's not always hilarious, but it's usually very entertaining to watch, and they do bring some original/good points at time.

K-On was terrible from EP1 I don't understand how popular it got and the characters, they tried to hide it's lackluster plot with the over used cuteness,pedo character design and it's sad people now see the show wasn't good so late of it's life cycle from forums+blogs -_-. Kyoto do us all favor and do another FMP or serious show after Haruhi is done cause the cute shows getting very tiresome.

PS the show was suppose to be a music show wasn't not and how much did it have 2 or 3? heh

Japanese Mahjong Scoring

What I usually go for is the pattern where it's the concealed hand with no 1 and 9, unless it's painfully abvious you can do an all chii or all pon hand. Also, if you have a special character pon, or the same wind pon, go for it as you can win with it by simply doing that.

Like was said above, K-on is decent, but not amazing. I don't consider it amazing overall, but it was enjoyable. If you read the manga and see how the characters work there you can see that they just don't really translate too well to anime. Lucky Star translated better to anime just because of the type of humor involved.

It was pretty decent. I had no issues with it at all and I'm about to stop reading Eyeshield 21 because of bad translations on the chapters I'm currently on.

Finally had chance to check Masaki Kajishima (Tenchi Muyo creator) new anime Isekai no Seikishi Monogatar, Sigh another clone I know the hero suppose to be Tenchi brother but couldn't he give him another personality it pretty much follows the same formula but if you love echii, fanservice and want more Tenchi then it's worth a watch.
