A Certain Scientific Railgun (Best part of Index is Biribiri)
Fairy Tail (Awesome manga, read it every week - long time coming, I hope it goes continuously like One Piece/Naruto/Bleach)
Nogizaka Haruka 2 (Great novels, plus Noto Mamiko)
White Album 2 (might as well see how it ends)

What's that about? Assistants do a lot of the work, especially for the big weekly series. The Big 3 probably each have 10-15 people working on them - so it's obvious that when the assistants get their own gig their drawing style is going to look alot like their previous bosses work since that's all they were drawing

The facts are these:

Cencoroll is a movie concocted by one man, Atsuya Uki. In 2006 a company, Anime Innovation Tokyo, decided to sponsor his idea for the movie in a competition they held. However next to no news was heard about the project until 2009 when Aniplex decided to sponsor the project and suddenly up popped a website and a brand new trailer, the very one at the top of this page. The release date is set as August 22nd.

Synopsis from ANN: A huge monster shows up on the top of a building of an ordinary city, prompting the Defense Forces to go into action and causing the citizens of the city to start an uproar. Yuki, a brave-hearted and naturally inquisitive girl, happens to know a secret. Her friend Tetsu has been keeping and raising a strange creature called Cenco. Instantly becoming fascinated by Tetsu and his pet, a mysterious boy appears with control over the huge monster threatening the town. With that, an unexpected battle begins.

Q1: August 22nd right, but won’t we have to wait for the DVD to see it fansubbed?

Well, ANN list Crunchyroll as ‘Internet Streaming’ so we may see this get the same treatment as Time of Eve. Which would be fucking brilliant if that was the case but I haven’t seen even the slightest mention of it on Crunchyroll so don’t hold your breath. To give you and example of you long you would have to wait to see it fansubbed, I’m going to use the Eureka Seven movie as an example. The movie was released April 25 and yet the first RAW appeared June 28. Now I’m not sure if Eureka Seven is an exception to the rule but that’s only 2 months. To see it fansubbed you would only have to wait until the beginning of November, which isn’t so bad…but still pray for a CR release.

Q2: Will this be a proper movie or some short 20/30 minute thing like Pale Cocoon?

That, unfortunately, is not beyond the realms of possibility. According to a random Youtube commenter (yeah, that’s where I get my really reliable info) the OST only has 5 tracks on it, which would hint for a short movie. Plus remember it’s basically just one guy, he has his limits. That’s the case for but there is a case against a short movie. Remember it took this guy 4 years to make this thing. Plus it’s not like he actually animated the whole thing himself. I doubt he did the in-between animation himself. Remember that ‘Training with Hinaka’ video? Reports claimed it was all one mans idea but really there was loads of guys doing the in-betweens behind the scenes. Plus it’s getting a ‘theatrical release’ which sounds like a feature-length movie to me.

Q3: Will it actually be any good?

When I use my amazing fortune telling powers to tell how good an anime, I’m actually cheating and looking at the staff behind the anime. This is sorta difficult with this anime with the whole ‘one-man’s idea’ thing. But look, they call themselves ‘Anime InnovationTokyo’ so obviously they’re looking for something new and radical. This guys idea was the winner from a whole bunch of applicants so obviously they saw something they liked. Also this is such a risky project that I doubt Aniplex would sponsor it if it wasn’t going to be any good. And finally, didn’t you watch the trailer? Here’s another one for your viewing pleasure

Bakemonogatari 5 was pretty good. I was feeling like the past few episode (while entertaining) had been becoming pointlessly long, but by the end I saw the point and I liked what happened.

I really enjoy this show myself. I was anxiously waiting for a sub since the pace of the show is very fast for my japanese. And Senjougahara's words are difficult to understand.

Can anyone explain Araragi's response to Shenjougahara's "interest" towards him? Did he say he just fancies being around her? In other words, he doesn't *really* like her now, but possibly in the future?

He wanted her to be more honest with him. He made her promise to him not to lie about things like not being able to see or hear someone when he could. I'm not sure how much Araragi likes Senjougahara but I think they came upon a sort of "agreement" about how Senjougahara would repay him.

Aside from that I don't recall him saying anything else about him liking her.

Such a slow anime season even if I'm watching more shows than last season.

-Bakemonogatari 5 I'm sick of the budget even for shaft show it's heavily under budget, extensional methods are so pathetic and no action as promised from first Ep -__- (Ep 6 will be last chance and dropping the series).

-Canaan Ep 4/5 Still shocked how good the animation is, even if story little lacking, The Taxi Driver needs his own show and more Alphard Fanservice

-Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan 06 WOW drama EP with two pointless Fanserivce but my only complain they didn't cut Plug's hands with blood and gore like in the manga.

-Valkyria Chronicles EP 17/18 Nice they went through the tragedy event like in the game ^^.

-Needless Manga Ok I read whole Needless JP Manga available as it really started boring and I mean really boring but gets alot better.(Yes the ending characters in the song are in manga but appear much later)
