Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

While I'd love a good Berserk remake (or even a continuation of the old), those pictures strike me more as good colorings of various manga panels. Just by showing Caska like that implies the earlier events wouldn't happen onscreen or there'd be a flashback treatment. Would rather events not get jumbled around either way since the first started that way and kinda hoodwinked you into believing you'd be seeing the Black Swordsman running around pwning demons. Then again, I don't remember if that's how the manga actually started or not. Just know I saw the anime first.

Manga starts pretty much the same way. Guts as the black swordsman for 2 volumes killing demons and owning the slug, then he encounters the uhh... I forget their names but basically demon gods. After he escapes from that/is let, go epic flashback for around 10 volumes then it resumes where volume 2/3 left off in a sense.

that animation style rubs me wrong for Berserk.

Dont get me wrong, I like the quality...
but I'm biased toward Berserk having that dirty/gritty/dark/angular look it has in the manga and the original series over bright/pastel/roundish look (makes me think of a more epic re-interpretation of Druaga than a Berserk Season2).

About the possible berserk Anime (Rumors not Facts)
-Studio 4°C leading the project
-The Pictures are cel imagine only for test and they are over a year old
-Studio 4°C was so impress by the imagine they gave the GO for Beserk Anime
-it's currently unknown if the anime will be a movie or TV series and if the tune will be more darker or how it's presented on cel imagine
-Susumu Hirasawa been seen alot around the Studio 4°C so it's possible he could be composing the soundtrack.

Didn't he do the 1st Berserk anime? Well, maybe not all of it, but I've heard at least a track or 2 by him.

I really hope they redo all of the original stuff if they in fact do another Berserk anime. A LOT of really important events/characters were written out of the original anime. As much as I still love it, it feels like nothing but a giant advertisement to go read the manga. From what I remember reading Kentaro Miura said something like 70% of the story he envisioned is done. There's 300+ chapters of manga right now which could easily be 100 episodes if done well. I hate the breaks Miura takes (months at a time after only doing 5 chapters) but I guess he just does it whenever he wants, as he has a very very small studio.

Anyway, here's hoping for something good on this, though I really don't expect much to come of it. It did renew my hopes a bit though :D

Kinda reminds me of the breaks Oku would take when doing Gantz. I feel like most anime are just advertising the manga in some way, especially the ones that end wrong (h2u Claymore, Soul Eater and FMA).

I wrote a post last night about Umineko...but forgot to post it apparently (or BG ate it?).


I watched the first three episode yesterday...I love the series so far. There is something awkward with the setting/character (had the same problem at first with Higurashi), but once you get used to the style, it's pretty damn addicting.

OP song is awesome too..definitively my favorite OP in the last few years.
