Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

Fuck key anime. Seriously.

lol, pretty sure you say that everytime a Key anime is mentioned.

Key anime is alright, Clannad is probably my favourite one, Kanon and Air bounce up and down as the music does. I watched Air years ago as a kid, so nostalgia for that is strong as I'm determined not to watch it again to change that.

I hated Saikano, the ended just felt unsatisfying. Bokurano is great (manga plz). Grave of Fireflies is a no brainer. Gunslinger Girl is fantastic and one of my favourite manga to date. Anime is good as well, helps with the atmosphere a lot more because of the music and sound effects (OP is good).

Other depressing anime (is that where we're going now?) include Shigofumi and Shinigami no Ballad.

In other news, I'm trying to remember the name of some anime I watched a long time ago. It was about a girl who dreamed/fantasized/wanted to be a witch all day long. She would dream in class and what not, pretend she was a witch, but at some point she entered into another world filled with witches and other weird shit. She learned how to be a witch with the help of two friends (serious one and timid/clumsy one) and there was some kind of war/crisis going on.

Key anime are fine, but damn, I hate the characters. Not only do they look retarded with their eyes so far apart, they also are. They always stick to one particular strereotype and never evolve pass it.

I actually liked Saikano a lot. It has this really stupid ending but it was quite romantic and sad when you weren't expecting it to be so serious.

I agree about Saikano it's great series and I love the ending.


I am reading some rumors for who care about Queen's Blade that Season 2 Will up the Sexual Boundaries that it may have cuts from the original broadcast, if your wondering why? it seems that it'll have penteration and even worse forth play than season 1 LOL.

I liked the last scene in ep9, was interesting. Rest of the episode wasn't so great though.

It's sad when Tamas has the funniest episode of the season. I liked this hayate episode a lot compared to other recent one.

I've forgotten that I had bought the Record of Lodoss War DVD box set 3 years ago it reminded me of how bad 90's anime dub was. Also remined me of how I liked 90's anime now than this generation.

I think I actually stopped watching Umineko. I dislike the whole idea with Battler not believing and stretching the whole thing out. Sounds like he needs to go chill with Naruto for a while. : p

Then again, I haven't watched umineko since 5, and i only really enjoyed 5 because frederica was in it >_>

I was willing to stomache the Turn of the Golden Witch arc, which should end next episode. Then it should start getting better. Legend of the Golden Witch arc (the first) was just to set things up, so to speak. This one sort of sets up the rules of the games.

Finally caught up with Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (well..almost)...this season is awesome so far. I enjoyed the first two, but I laughed way more with this one.

Best part for me is the one about "unsavory sales practice" in episode 3...and 4. With the TPO theme of the episode (the part about gag losing their meaning over time), the whole thing was fucking genius. Really nice way to make fun of haruhi.

It had its moments, but I can't say it was anywhere near last episode. Almost every jokes were rehash of stuff that are already overdone in this show...I want fresh material, or progress between characters. Anything else feel like a waste.



Bakemonogatari was pretty good again this week, no complain here. The new OP for every characters is nice touch.
