I'll pretty much watch the show as I love the manga just hope it's not an underbudget show cause the manga is full of action.

The director is same as for bakemonogatari, Maria+Holic and I believe Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei but dam at the lastest bakemonogatari EP if you don't know what i mean.

don't know how the series would fit in shaft's style though, since it's kinda serious most of the time.

But I guess the school life and the maid interlude would be more than enough for shaft to be shaft...

I'd probably watch it, I doubt there'd be anything more interesting than a shaft anime at any given season at this point, since it hasn't been 10 years since gurren lagann for gainax to make another epic series.

I'll probably watch it, but I honestly can't find myself liking the characters (or at least the naked loli vampire). Things that center around vampires tend to be...weak, in character, story and action.

Who knows, time will tell.

Well, it's not their first romance with a loli vampire. Considering it was one of the series I enjoyed the most (very simple plot and bad animation, but it was funny, and both main character had great progression), it's not impossible this one will be good. I know they are very different, but the premise and genre do share some similarities,

When I realized Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Negima!? and Tales of were all made by shaft, I was sold for all their production. Only one I would avoid like plague is popotan so far...worst anime ever.

So, I actually liked the latest episode of Haruhi... while I've never been terribly fond of Sigh, watching Kyon Hulk out at Haruhi was pretty entertaining. Also, it's amusing to pretend Kyon is a fan enraged about Endless Eight.

They did? There is a bunch of OVA otw (3 out, 6 left) that cover interesting part of the story.


And negima!? was pretty funny if you're able to get past the fact they completely missed the opportunity to make a great Negima anime (I admit it's hard to, but it's still doable).

Idk, comedy are rarely "memorable" for me. I love them, but I don't get attached to the character as much as I would in a more serious show.

I love Mariya, Matsurika, and God so much in that series, and Kanako's reaction to the abuse is just priceless. Though I can agree that the rest of the characters are hard to build an attachment for, as I can't even remember the name of the rest of the girls (then again, that may have a lot to do with categorizing them by the archetype they fill rather than name to begin with)

I'm not arguing that Maria Holic wasn't a great show. The art, the jokes, the characters...I loved every bit of it. Most of the contents was fresh, something that you rarely see in anime nowaday.

It's just that I don't look forward comedies the same way I look forward drama. Because I'm anticipating serious story a lot more, they generally become more memorable for me in the end.

Ah, Tsukuyomi Moon Phase wasn't that bad I admit, but that seemed like it was trying to be a little bit cliche (or just typically Japanese). I think the new anime is trying to be more edgy and racey and for some reason I think it won't work.

Zilong is right. That season (Winter 08 ) was absolutely horrible. Maric Holic was very good, but it was pretty much the only thing worth watching (unless you count the Seto no Hanayome OVA which was release around the same timeframe)

Although, it was saved by the very good 2-cour shows in Fall 08:

The most recent one was definitely my favorite so far this season, but at the same time, it made me hate Haruhi, so, I'm not sure if that is really a great direction for it to be going in. >.>

Endless Eight was stroke of genius, It was fun seeing ragging fanboys bitch and moan for weeks at end, I don't believe for a second all the shocking apology from kyoto staff lol.

It's fun a show that worth checking out if your looking for crasy humor and minor deep plot. On Plot I see why we won't be getting a season 2 anytime soon as first one covered Vol 1-3 and 4-5 only has enough material for 5 or 6 EP at best.

I kind of liked her last season, the stuff she did was kind of funny, but she crossed the line a few too many times recently.

And jeez, I can't believe this season is already almost over, I guess that is what I get for skipping most of Endless Eight. Oh well, I'm enjoying other anime this season at least.
